My FI is half arab and Looooks it :) i hope our babies someday look just like him!

I was SO worried about bringing him home, having him meet extended family etc, not because of him in the least, because of them. I was a bit embarassed of them. I cant tell you how often my cousins throw around rasists comments, my grandpa is of the "war generation" so he uses terms that were acceptable and unoffensive in his time but definatly not today,

THANKFULLY so far all my fears have been (mostly) unanswered, my parents love him and see what an amazing guy he is, i think he may have even changed my fathers heart. As for my grandpa i pre-warned my guy about him and everything went amazing, my grandpa wasnt perfect but now hes always asking when ill bring my FI back,

havent faced my cousins yet (im not close to them) but im praying it all goes well!

thanks it was a bit akward with grandpa but they have the military thing in common so they talked about that. my grandpa is SUPER quiet so it was shocking to hear him actuallly carry on a huge convo, i think my fi really like him too.

Mrs.Peach, that's amazing! I had the opposite situation (family Indian, fiance caucasian) but the exact same worries. I think just knowing him in person made them realize how insensitive their talk was -- they didn't actually mean it, and I know that, but still, SO not cool.

Anyway, congratulations on a successful introduction. That's huge!
