Not at all, I am a size 00 to 0 (hell sometimes I’m xxxs… yes I might as well shop at GAP kids) and I”m also your height at 5’3.  Wearing heels won’t make you too skinny especially with your dress (mine is a sheath dress so it will make me look even more willowy).  My heels are 3″ and it doesn’t make me look MORE skinny, it just makes me look taller 😉 In fact with my dress it adds more elgance to my look =)

I know what you mean about looking too skinny with added height – at 5’7 I’m a size 2 on top (healthy) 4 on bottom I can sometimes feel “WILLOWY” with high heels, as a rule I typically only go up to 3” in heel height with no platform.. Its sad cause I never get to wear some of those cute platform sandals all those shorter girls get to wear..

For my wedding I am wearing 3” heels for the ceremony and through the first dance.

I’m a 00 and 5’2″- I’ll be wearing 4-5″ heels, hell yeah, baby! I really don’t think it changes how “skinny” I look.

I’ve never ever been considered “too skinny” nor do I think that would even be a problem in my mind. But I just wanted to say to the OP.. You look FAB in your dress, it’s gorgeous.

I have noticed I do look a bit like a stick figure – I’m wearing a trumpet dress, I’m 5’4 and wearing 4″ heels. Ah well – one day I’ll look back and envy these photos!

I think every woman looks beautiful in a mid-high heel for a formal event such as a wedding. I would probably suggest a slightly lower heel than you’re thinking, just because that’s what I see as most elegant for such a formal, important, occasion, but nothing to do with your weight. I think every woman who enjoys wearing heels (no foot problems, etc.) should wear them with confidence, especially at formal occasions.
