The MyFitnessPal forums!!! Yikes people don’t hold back there.
While sometimes things can get snippy around here, it’s nothing compared to what I regularly see there. I suspect our mods do a better job than we’re aware. 🙂

In comparison to most other forums people are exceedingly polite and positive here. Sure, people share differing opinions and sometimes disapprove of each other, but we don’t see a lot of personal attacks.

Not surprising, they’re probably hungry.

@cbgg: I know. I really think when we get accustomed to being on here more than any other internet site, our idea of what “snark” is gets skewed.
@atacrossroads: LOL!!! Too true!!

@Creiddylad: WB snark seems to almost always come from the same Bee’s and luckily they are in the minority! Other forums are super terrible when it comes to letting members be mean and judgemental. This is the internets “kind” corner!

@Creiddylad: I dont even look at the forums on that site. That site is to help me stay on track by calculating my calories and exercise, nothing else.

I totally agree. That’s why I’m here. I don’t like mean people in real life and I don’t like them on the internet. I find the bee to be generally very supportive and respectful.

@JenGirl: +1! The fact that we’re kind of forced by the ToS to express ourselves kindly means that all the people who are incapable of that end up elsewhere. Like MyFitnessPal

@Creiddylad: I don’t post on MyFitnessPal, but I can imagine that it must be the perfect environment for being snarky. FH posts on a bodybuilding/weightlifting forum that is mostly men, and they’re pretty bad as well.
Another forum that I’m on is geared towards classical musicians and avid listeners of classical music, and people can be pretty snobby there. Especially older people, like 40+, to anyone younger, like me. I had one person tell me that a 23 year old musician like me doesn’t deserve to have a flute that costs more than $2,000, because “no one that age can afford that price.” REALLY? Did you consider that perhaps my parents paid for that? Yikes.
Weddingbee is INSANELY positive and welcoming compared to a lot of other forums I have posted on. I love this place!

Yeah I’ve seen very few snarky people on the Bee, but on other forums those kittens get their claws out over nothing.

Hi everyone, I’m going to close this thread since we don’t condone talking badly about other sites here on Weddingbee. Thanks!
