I just bought forever stamps. They had the flag on them and I didn’t care — envelopes have a life of about fifteen seconds after being brought in before they’re torn open and shelled into the trash bin. Don’t stress yourself over what the stamp looks like. Nobody cares.

@Hyperventilate:  It seems to me like most of the one ounce stamps are forever stamps. Ow, not just the flag ones.  You can get love stamps or flower stamps or wedding rings or tons of designs. I got a different one for stds, RSVPs, shower invitea and I’ll use all the extras for bank you’s! Check out USPS.com to see all the pretty designs that are the same price and also forever stamps! 🙂

I paid about $100 for stamps. Definitely didn’t think of them until we were stuffing the envelopes and were like “well I guess we’ll need stamps to mail all of these” haha. We just got the cheapest stamps….I know I never look at the stamp so I’m not sure how many other people would….

They sell cute 46 cent stamps!  You can, of course, only use them if your invitation is light enough and the right shape, though.  I got cute vintage seed packet stamps for our invitations.  Our save the dates were postcards so they were only 33 cents each.
