I want to get an invisibility cloak so that people cannot see me and say the following gems:
“Have you got everything done now? I bet you do!”
“I guess the wedding dress is all sorted now.”
“Can my dog/sister/kid come?”
“You seem very stressed. Are you sure this wedding is right for you?”
“Oh. I’m not sure the guest will like the chicken/fish/beef!”
“Are you sure the venue is nice?”
“Are you sure my bridesmaid dress will be tailored perfectly to suit me?”!
“Why did you decide to have a destination wedding?”
Anyone else having to deal with this?

@Bainise2013: I feel you! I’m 26 days out and I have been subject to:
“Are you getting nervous?”
“I’ll probably be there, not sure though.”
“We can’t make it, but our son and his girlfriend would love to come!”

Is it really so hard to say “I’m so happy for you and excited for your day. If you need help let me know!”?
I’m going to memorize that line for all of my friend’s weddings 😉

- Wedding: May 2013 - Pavilion overlooking golf course scenery, reception at banquet hall
Some I remember:
“Oh, it’s supposed to rain! That’s good luck!”
-(It did, and I don’t believe in luck. Jerk.)
“The last few days before the wedding you won’t have anything left to do and you’re going to drive yourself crazy trying to remember if you forgot anything”
-(I was still DIY-ing some things the night before, and creating/printing my wedding programs the morning-of)
-“I didn’t know you hired a DJ/needed a DJ table”
-(Said by the venue coordinator, the day-of)

Those sound awful. In some cases they pale in comparison to the crazy stuff the bride has been saying for a year and half though. It will all be over soon.

“Are you sure you still fit into your dress? You know how you always gain weight when you’re stressed out!”
“Why didn’t you tell me to get you an appointment with my beautician while there was still time, she could have sorted out your acne without a problem!”
“What do you mean I didn’t tell you I’m vegan now?”
Just a few from the top of my head that would send me straight to prison because I would cheerfully murder the person who said those things! lol

This came out of the mouth of one of my bridesmaids two days before the wedding when she arrived:
“Why did you pick this color for the bridesmaids dress?? I don’t look good in it. Why didn’t you go with a blue or any other color?”
Granted, she was a “younger” (in HS) bridesmaid and she was in my wedding because she was a cousin. But still. I almost slapped her.
For the record, my bridesmaids dresses were a bronze/gold and they turned out to be BEAUTIFUL.

I remember hating the “Are you excited?” question. No. I’m pissed off I’m marrying the man I love. *eye roll*

“Don’t worry if it rains… It’s good luck!”

“Oh by the way, I can’t make it”

From one of my bridesmaids “I bought a new bridesmaid dress and decided to dye it”! It turned out beautifully but that was a little stressful a couple days before the wedding!

@Bainise2013: Great list – I am 6 weeks out and ALREADY sick of hearing these things. Why does everyone think that everything should be done already?! I just started alterations, and the invites went out two weeks ago…some things can’t be done till I get your RSVP, so send your damn RSVP! OK, I feel better:)

@megz06: *snerk* I hate that question too.

“not getting cold feet, are ya?”
“last chance to bail out!”
Both said as jokes.
