Ok so here we are a month after the wedding and there are 3 items on our registry that we never actually ever received. What do I do? I mean maybe someone bought it for us and then changed their mind, or maybe the gift got lost or maybe Target made a mistake and it was never actually bought. I am about to send out thank you notes and I just don’t want someone to think that I received a gift and just never thanked them for it.

This happened to me, and I started a thread here, and the general reply was “don’t do anything”. I also got called a gift-grubber when I asked a different message board I post on about it.
I would just assume it’s the store’s mistake, or I’d see who didn’t get you a gift and then do some sleuthing.

I’d contact Target, because they probably have a way of tracking that information. You might want to check around with your family as well, because perhaps it was purchased as a Christmas or birthday gift. (You don’t have to spoil the surprise, just let them know that you are trying to figure out if it’s a gift that should have been mailed to you by Target. The other thing is that there is always the possibly that someone purchasing a gift got something off your list for themselves as well.

i think its more likely they bought something for themselves… but you should try talking to target first and see what they have to say

Every store that I registered at (Dillards, Macy’s, and Williams Sonoma) had a feature that showed you exactly who bought which gift – I think this is becoming pretty standard. I would definitely contact the store and see if they have the tracking information to show whether the gift was delivered. The person who bought the gifts has no idea if you get it or not, and if I bought someone a gift and they didn’t get it, I’d be pretty upset.

If it’s something showing up as fulfilled on your TARGET registry & you havent received it yet???? If that’s the case I would contact Target immediately! Me & Fiance are registered at Target & had a Dyson vacuum on our registry that was showing up as fulfilled but we hadnt received. Since are wedding isnt until April 30th, I kept thinking we would get it at a shower or that maybe one of our parents had bought it for us as a xmas present!
Turns out a whole group of employees that used to work for my FI had teamed up & bought us the Dyson from our TARGET registry & TARGET totally screwed up & had sent us a cookie spatula instead (I KID YOU NOT THEY SENT US A $9 COOKIE SPATULA INSTEAD OF A $400 DYSON VACUUM)! When we received the cookie spatula it came without a packing slip, & it had a gift card but the printing was cut off so it said something like, “Congrats to the 2 of you, we are… & that was it! We had tried to find out who had purchased us the spatula but Target said since it was not on our registry they had no clue who sent it! We actually returned it (before finding out the situation) & Target gave us $9 credit applied to a gift card! Then, a couple days after Christmas my FI & I are grocery shopping & run into one of his old employees who ask us if we like the Dyson they got us!!!! We had no clue & went straight to Target to try & get this cleared up! After 6 different employees & the store manager finally getting the regional mngr involved they got it straightened out & we were given the Dyson right there at the store. Of course, it wasnt really that stores fault bc the purchase was made online so technically Target online were the ones who screwed it up but the employees were so rude & had the attitude of oh well, what do you expect me to do about it so we had no problem going through chain of command until we found someone who could help us! On Monday I received a letter & prepaid postage label in the mail from Target saying sorry for the mix up & asking us to mail the cookie spatula back to them (too late for that)…ha!
So, the point to the story is if Target is the registry in question contact them immediately because they do make HUGE HUGE registry mistakes & if we had not ran into his previous employee…we never would have known! I had always heard Target registry nightmare stories but thought it was no big deal & they wouldnt mess mine up…buy was I wrong!

Wow I registered at target and I would have never thought. autygergrad’s comment scared me haha :”]] I’ll have to keep an eye out.
But as far as your concern, I would definently contact target
