So, I’m not pregnant, but we are ttc, and reading some posts has got me thinking. What am I not expecting? Obviously sleepless nights, screaming baby, bf/bottles, all of the usual stuff we see mummies doing all the time. But what are the little things that I’m not thinking about? This isn’t to change my mind, I just know there has to be stuff that I haven’t thought about. What stuff do you swear by using? What tips or tricks or reminders do you have that you never considered with your first bubba? I’m excited to hear everyone’s responses!

Nursing will make you insanely hungry (all the time!) and thristy. Stash bottled water and snacks all around the house in places you might nurse.
Carseat canopies were my best friend. I was able to take my baby out, let him sleep, and keep strangers away from him with it. Also it kept the wind/rain off him when the weather was rough.

I don’t have any kids but my SIL’s first is 6 months old now. She has had to totally alter her diet because he is sensitive to pretty much everything she eats. Dairy, anything spicy, anything greasy…he doesn’t have any allergies…just very painful poops! So she eats really bland food in order to help him. You might have to do that but hopefully not.
And obviously with breatfeeding your breasts will be really sore if you’re producing enough milk, and even sorer if you are overproducing. My SIL lactates often so she always carries a few extra shirts with her in case she has to change. She also wears pantyliners inside her bra for extra protection from embarrassing leaks.
