We all chat about things our SO's do that annoy us... but what do you do that annoys your SO?

The reality of mine was last night - FI HATES HATES HATES it when I let my gas tank go to where the gas light comes on.... it's the most ridiculous 'discussion' we have way too often.  I'm trying to be better about filling up... so silly.

...there was another post about this somewhere, I SWEAR! I just can't find it.

I'm a total mess of a person! Stuff EVERYWHERE!

I'm pretty onbnoxious in general if he's not paying attention to me when he's supposed to be.

He gets annoyed when I get lazy and don't clean up. He always says "before we got together I was always a clean person" Ugh Hello we do have 2 little boys! So it's not JUST me :)

He hates it when I'm eating chips or snacks and I put the bag back with only about a handful of snacks left.  He always feels tricked that there's some goodies and only gets a handful of crumbs!

I am really bad about leaving lights on when I leave a room or leaving doors open (like cupboard doors).  He also ahtes it when I ruffle the pages of whatever book I'm reading.  It's such a habit, I don't even know I'm doing it until he points it out!

I HAVE to have everything closed. So if he leaves something open (a cabinet or shower curtain) I clear my throat and stare it down until he closes it. And I have no patience. lol.

It annoys him that I am a beast in the morning.  I'm IMPOSSIBLE to wake up - I'm one of those comatose sleepers.  But awww, he still wakes me up every single day  regardless of the fact that I'm a big beeeeeeeeotch for the first hour of every day...

He hates that I leave the spare room messy for sure!  I just don't have enough space to put everything. :)

I think he also is annoyed that I kick the sheets off... and that I keep the blinds closed!

He hates it when I leave him hanging on something I am saying and I am still trying to figure out what to day, or I don't say it fast enough.  Drives him crazy.

My bf and dad are both engineers, so between the two of them I am spoiled when it comes to fixing computers, and other technical things. So, if something gets broken I wait for one of them to fix it and won't do it myself! My boyfriend helps me, but always gets grumpy about it because I am not as "tech savy" as he is!

He hates it when I don't take our car in to get the oil changed at exactly 3,000 miles!  I'm fine if I let it get to 3,500 miles before I take it in but he totally freaks out.

This list is long. haha I'm not an easy person to live with... I have a lot of little quirks.

My FI pointed this out to me! I will say "I have a question" which he (now) follows with a loud groan or an "oh no!" because its usually right before I ask something that will inevitably start a fight lol. I only say that when I'm bringing up a controversial issue- its totally subconscious. I will also throw in some sort of dig followed by "What? I'm just saying..." These phrases usually pop up in the same conversation.

So now his name on MSN is "I am just saying" and I'm banned from saying "I have a question" lol

Also, he hates when I go into "planning mode" like: What do you want for dinner next Tuesday? When should we go shopping for your nephew's birthday (that is like 4 months away still)... Sorry, I like to get things planned way in advance

I get angry very  quickly. We could be sitting on the couch and all of a sudden I'm just super mad. He hates it- can't understand it. I blame it on being Italian. HA! I also cry at the drop of a hat. So annoying.

I'm not the best passenger in a car, but oddly enough, it's only when he's driving, and it only comes out when we're in a bigger city.  I am a planner, and when he doesn't want to plan on my time schedule, tension is in the air.  Guess how well the whole wedding planning thing is going when I try to get him involved!  ;-)

I hijack story telling.  I'll tell him to tell a story and then I'll get excited and take over it for him.  He definitely doesn't care for that.

And, I can go days without washing the dishes, where he likes for them to be done immediately after we eat.

A main issue, although we never really fight about it, because we have both learned to compromise on this, is that I generally never feel like going out.  For the most part, I am completely content hanging around our apartment and doing nothing, at all times, maybe except on special occasions.  He likes to go out and gets really antsy just sitting around, and he knows if he asks me what I want to do, I'll generally answer "nothing."  I'm a homebody, what can I say?!?

Now, for the most part, we'll stay in on Fridays and go out on Saturday nights.  And, if I can tell he's antsy, I will suggest or agree that we should go out.  Usually I am OK with it once I get out there!

He claims I nag sometimes.  Totally don't, its just his inability to remember the simplest of tasks lol.  I do sometimes nag but I've become more conscious of it and I'm working on it.  I'm sure there are other things but he's disgustingly patient so he keeps it to himself... wonder if I can learn how to do that too?

He hates when I tell a story. I guess I take far too long to tell it, and it usually has no point. He always asks me why I just wasted 10 minutes of his life to ultimately tell him something like "bananas were on sale."

He hates how I will take the trash bag out from under the sink and put it out for him (so it's obvious that he's supposed to take the trash out) but I never replace it with a new bag.  Oh and I have this obsession with my hand towels in the bathroom...I like them to be lined up on the towel rack and he thinks I'm crazy so he'll come in and purposely mess them up in front of me and laugh while he's walking out.  Gotta' love it

Seriously the only time he really gets impatient with me is when we are shopping. He thinks I should buy the first cute thing I look at and be done. I do have a tendency to carry something around the store forever only to change my mind at the last minute and not buy it. I'm the indecisive one!

He gets annoyed that I can tune him out so easily. I'll be completely immersed in a book, tv, or *blush* weddingbee that I won't hear a thing. He says 'your the only other person in this house so OBVIOUSLY I'm talking to you.'

I don't think it's a problem...it's taken me years to perfect this skill! If he really wants my attention he just needs to try a little harder!

He hates it when I make chocolate milk.  I have to drink my chocolate milk by a spoon and I guess I bite down on the spoon when drinking my milk.  I don't know, I don't feel it or hear, but he insists that I do.  So if I ever have chocolate milk I have to make sure that he is not anywhere near me.

I also make this weird noise with my mouth if I am thinking about something. I do it mindlessly. It kind of sounds like a squeeky mouse.  He makes a big production when I do it. Usually bangs whatever table or counter is around and gets all huffy and puffy about it.

I thought of another one!!! Sometimes (when I'm feeling silly or obnoxious) I talk in this 80 year old smoker voice. At work, at home, at the liquor store... wherever. And it makes him absolutely insane. It's also a little startling cause I normally have a decently high voice.

I came up with another one too lol...

I love to clean, however I cannot be bothered to EVER pick up a dust pan & pick up the piles of dirt I've collected from around the house. It's too gross lol. I've even mopped around it before! There is usually a heap of dirt in a corner somewhere and my Mr. ends up cleaning it up. He's not clean at all, but for some reason the piles make him nuts :)

I just asked, "What do I do that annoys you?" and his response? "You don't like bugs."

In my defense, about ten minutes ago there was a freaky roach looking bug ON MY COMPUTER while I was using it. It crawled up between the keyboard and the monitor, which means it was ON THE BED where I'm sitting. Not cool. I screamed, freaked and made J get rid of it (he carried my laptop into the bathroom, blew the bug into the toilet and flushed, darned level headed man).

KMSull, I love your 80-year-old smoker voice!!

I drive my FI nuts, nuts, nuts with my messy habits. We get in fights about it all the time. We have very different definitions of "clean."
