I initially inquired about the Prince George Ballroom in NYC, but given the small size of my wedding, I was also sent information about the Ladies’ Tea Room run by the same organization (and apparently in the same large building). And I was stunned. It’s just the right size, and absolutely beautiful…I think it would fit my wedding perfectly. The biggest deal for me was that they allowed outside catering, since I plan to do an all-vegan meal, and they do! Further, since it’s run by a non-profit, the fee for 8 hours (enough time that I can do my ceremony there!) is tax-deductible. And for NYC, the fee is LOW!
I am very happy. I think this place might work and plan to visit it soon. Anyone having their wedding at Prince George, or been to one that was there?

No, but that room is GORGEOUS.

I have never been there, and I don’t know anyone who has, but it is very beautiful, and it looks like it would require minimal, if any, additional decorating.
Congratulations on your great find!!!

Thanks! The room really is gorgeous and that it requires minimal decoration makes me happy. We’re spending a ridiculous amount on my dress, so every time I find a good deal, I feel like my parents (who are generously paying for the whole shebang) hate me a little less. Heh. And now that I think I’ve found a venue, that I’m going to be having a wedding is finally beginning to feel concrete!

Beautiful! I love that vintage turn-of-the-century postcard. I wonder if you could use that somewhere in your printed materials?
