@PermaStudent: +1, exactly this. I went into this thread sure that I would vote “no” because I rarely see a girl who can pull it off…but I found one! 😀

@TattedNYBride:  Honestly, your face is so pretty and your eyes are gorgeous. You don’t need all that hair weighing you down. I really think it would look great!

Also, hair grows back and can do so very fast with the help of folic acid.  I say go for it, the worst hat could happen is you dont care for it and in a few minths your hair will be shoulder length.

@TattedNYBride:  You could totally rock a pixie!  As pp’s have said, your eyes and face shape would look great with short hair.  It’s definitely not for the faint-hearted though – especially if you’re going from the length in those pics to a pixie.  This is what I did the first time I got a pixie: my hair was about as long as yours initially, and I had two cuts that progressively got shorter until I chopped it all off (and I mean all off, like Charlize Theron-short, almost a buzz cut).  That was you can enjoy/get used to less hair, and your DH can get used to it as well.  Hopefully it won’t shock him quite as much as if you just lopped it all off from the length it is now!

Good luck!  Short cuts are so much fun!

I would start with a bob and see how you like it before you hack it ALL off!

My FI loves my pixie, but I met him when I had it. I had really long hair before that. He has seen pictures of it, and while he says it is pretty, he prefers the pixie. He did say though that if I had told him I was cutting all the hair off he would have freaked out.

I’ve grown out pixies before and it isn’t that bad. When I first did the pixie though I worked my way there. I got a bob, and then it got shorter every time, I was too scared to do it all at once.

I think you can totally rock it!! You’ve got a good face for it.

ALTHOUGH, as someone who has done the big chop, if you ever want to grow it out again, you WILL ABSOLUTELY go though a an awkward stage where you have teenage boy mop hair unless you style it veerrry carefully. Other than that, it is SO MUCH FUN.

Love it!!! I agree with pp- this would totally work on you! The only warning I will add is that short hair actually requires more styling. Completely counter intuitive.

(I friggin love your inspiration pics. What’s really cool is those girls have very similar features, like you could be sisters. It makes it really easy to picture this cut on you.)
