- Wedding: May 2013
Last summer we booked our venue for the reception specifically because there was an outside garden space for the ceremony. About 6 months after, I joined a church and we decided that we would get married at the church. We paid the deposit and moved on to the next task at hand. Well, the church has had some money issues and now they are operating Sunday Services on a generator. This also means, no air conditioning. NJ has had a very hot summer and there were many unbearable 9am services that were attended. That place holds crazy heat! Our wedding is Memorial Day wknd 2013 and after a hot summer, I am wondering if we should still have our wedding at the church? Memorial Day is unpredictable because it could be comfortable, rain, or swealtering. I am a heavy sweater and all I can envision is my makeup running off my face. I know that I am being dramatic, but I think this is something that I should not have to worry about that day. I want our guests to be comfortable but my FH is still not sold on giving up the church idea. I am trying to be optimistic about the church’s situation changing around, but I have to make a decision by the end of this year when we order our invitations.Should we just change our ceremony back to our original plan?
