@lindseyl06: Your ring is beautiful and can definitely stand alone! It's totally up to you, though. Don't let other people try to talk you into getting a wedding band if you don't really want one just because you're "supposed" to have one.
DH was the exact same way! He had no idea there was supposed to be two rings!! He said he spent enough money on the first one...he's definitely not too keen on the idea of a second one.
So I've been married since November with no wedding band...and it's kind of okay. But now I am finding that I really want one -- I gaze secretly and DH is none the wiser...
Part of it is probably just all the hype on Wedding Bee.
BUT. as CarolinaCola stated, your ring is gorgeous and will be beautiful on it's own!!
Do whatever makes you happy.
Do whatever you like! I think your ring already kind of looks like a wedding band and e-ring anyhow, but I don't think it matters.
Your e-ring is definitely a statement piece and looks GREAT alone, so if you don't want a band, you don't NEED one. However, some women (myself included) like having two rings since they represent two times in your life and two separate commitments. It's toatlly up to you!
Your ring looks great alone! The double band almost looks like you have a custom wedding band alongside it.
Wow, your ring is amazing! Like other posters have said, you definitely don't need to have a wedding band if you don't want one. Personally, I'm going to get one for everyday wear when I don't want to be so dressed up (and because I've always wanted one). It's really your personal preference.
The ring looks great alone. If you don't want a wedding ring, don't get one! You definitely don't "have" to! ;)
But if you do want one for the ceremony, you can get one at ANY budget (like starting at $10). There are some pretty nice looking CZ bands if that's something you'd be interested in. That way you can do the traditional ring exchange, and have something to wear if you don't feel like wearing your ering every day after the wedding.
Obviously, it's up to you. :)
Your ring is beautiful! And the way it's styled it almost gives the illusion of having a band anyway. Maybe you can get a custom band to go with it for a special anniversary down the road, but I don't see why it can't stand alone!
Your ring is beautiful by itself if you don't want one! I definitely think you could get a custom one made that would look awesome, but I don't think it's a big deal if you don't end up getting one.
I've known a few women who have done this, for reasons similar to yours. If you are ok with it, then do it!
If I had your ring, I would probably opt out of a band also, and/or get a cheap thin band under $50 for the ceremony.
I think your ring is beautiful as it is... The wedding band will have to be custom made because of the curves of this ring, so it may be a good idea to get the custom band for an anniversary instead, and that gives you both time to save up for it!
I love your ring as is. I would be concerned that a wedding band would take away or distract from the beauty of your ring! It's such a statement piece, I love it!
hahah my SO said the same thing ! He was pretty much shocked when I explained the e-ring/wedding band thing :) I think your ring is definately gorgeous enough to stand on its own ! That is a stunner !!! :)
Yea, you definitely don't *HAVE* to have one...Personally, I really like two rings. I feel as though the band symbolizes the marriage, and the e-ring...the engagement. Ya know? Call me traditional though. Your ring can definitely stand on it's own and it is VERY pretty and unique!! Totally up to you! I can see a simple, thin, diamond band and think it would look gorgeous. If you feel they have to match, you'd def have to go the custom route...but it'd add some extra bling to your ring and that's NEVER a bad thing ;)
I definitely think you don't need one. In fact, since you have a double band, it already looks like you have a second ring on there. If you hadn't pointed it out, I would have naturally assumed that one of those was your wedding band =)
Oh thanks so much for your comments ladies!!! Sorry I havent been able to reply sooner (having technical difficulties with the computer)!!! Yes I think that will be a good idea to find a cheap band for FI to just put on at the ceremony and get a band custom made for our anniversary! We're already starting to see us hit our max on the wedding!

My ring is a wave shape. Mother said I can get by with a simple round band but Im too picky. I feel like if I get a wedding band then it should look like it goes with the ring so it will need to be custom made. FI flipped his wig when he found out that along with buying an e-ring you have to buy a wedding band too. Im like... "Uh, yeah, what kind of ring do you think the groom is putting on her finger at all the weddings you've been to??" He really didnt want to get a 2nd ring stating that he doesnt see the point. I personally wouldnt mind. I love my ring just as is. Is there a problem with that? Here's a pic of my ring:
