No need to apologize! I am equally “insane.” but I like to just call it Type-A, plain and simple!

Seriously though, I think it is a positive thing to think ahead and to plan- invitations are a lot of work and that especially should be timed well and thought through…

I think if the deadline is by Dec. 15-20th that is plenty of time to figure everything out by Jan 9th I think.

I am also sending out invites the first week of November.

My RSVP deadline will probably be around Jan 3th so I will have 2 1/2 weeks to arrange everything.

Hope that helps!

@BostonBaby: Also- how was your dress fitting? I hope it went great, I remember you were nervous about it! 🙂

@BostonBaby: I’ve been wondering about deadlines too. It’s nice that you want a answer before Christmas because you can always call and start out with the “happy Holidays” part and then get to business. Very smart.

@Evie19: Hmm I don’t trust my people to RSVP on time from previous experience so I think I am going to set mine as January 1st or even possible the end of December so that I have time to hunt down the no RSVPers

We are setting our RSVP deadline for 14th November!  2 months before our wedding.

We decided this because we didn’t do save the dates (not many people do them in NZ) and so want to get the invites out early, and we want to have everything finalized and head counted way in advance of Christmas as most things shut down over that time.

Also we are not going to be able to invite everyone we want, so need to have the first list RSVP early so that if they can’t come we can invite other people.

We have finished designing our invites and should get the final mock-up in a few weeks and we are thinking of sending them out early October.  I know it sounds crazily early but we have already had people RSVP without an invite as they know the date! (mostly family).

Seriously, do it early! A month or two ahead. I’m a dumbass and I did it for a couple weeks before. I die a little every day waiting for these things.

I’d love to do RSVPs by Dec. 5th- so that’s not too early? 1.5 months ahead?

I was wanting to send my invites early. It worries with me with most of our guests being out of state and having to arrange flights and being around the holiday. I was thinking early November?

Our wedding is 14 January.

I’m planning to mail invites out in early November (before the 10th) and have an RSVP deadline AT LEAST before Christmas. I don’t want them lost in the holiday rush!

Also, I figure the momentary down  time between Christmas and New Years’ could provide come good ‘chasing’ time for non-responders.

We are setting our RSVP for Novemeber 18! Way early, I know…but I am so scared of people getting too busy with the holidays that they may forget!
