    So bees,

    heres the down low~

I attached a picture of my dress and I LOVE IT! dont get me wrong...but i was thinking of doing some tweaks?

You see i have an appointment with a local seamstress that can do anything! And she is quite affordable.

So I was THINKING that i would make the from v neck a little thinner? and then place a small panel of lace to cover up my "ladies"

what do you think? Do you think it would be too much with the bolero? I just feel like the front v neck is way too thick for my body! My chest is pretty dang small and i feel as though the front is massive :X

    Suggestions appreciated!

I like it as is!  I also think that adding a lace panel might be a little much with the bolero.  Could you thin it out a bit, but not so much that you need a modesty panel of sorts?

I think it looks great the way it is but do you have any pictures without the bolero? I agree with Olive tha it might be a little much with the lace and bolero.

I like it the way it is. If there's no other lace in the dress, I think adding a lace panel will look like you were obviously trying to cover cleavage.

I totally love the back of the dress!

I personally like it as it is.  If you did want to change up the neckline a little I think it would also look okay, but I'm not sure about the lace panel since there isn't any other lace on the dress.  Is there a way for you to maybe stick a piece of lace in there and take a picture just to give us a better idea of how it would look?

tomorrow i will be meeting with the seamstress so we can semi-try to see what it would look like.

what do you think of at least thinning out the front? I just am a little bothered by how thick the front is in comparative to my chest. my chest isnt that big! lol!

PS -- like everyone assumed, there isnt any lace on my dress

I love the dress as-is then!  I think you look so tiny in it and I think making the neckline would actually make your chest look smaller.  I think after you go to the seamstress, though, you'll know what looks best for you.

It's a beautiful dress! I think the seamstress can help you fit the bust and that will help the "thickness" issue (I'm not 100% sure what you mean about that). Probably taking it in from the sides or putting in a dart on the bust will help tremendously.

I like it as is, but if it's bothering you now, it may bother you later.

By "thinning out the bust" do you mean basically making it so there is more skin showing? Cuz i do think from what i see in the photo that you are one of those slender not busty girls that can pull off a more skin-showing look without looking risque! Have her pin it and see what you think. I can see what you mean when you think the chest part of the dress overwhelms your bust...it's very full-coverage as is. I think it'd give the dress a more delicate look.

So I'm on board with cutting away some fabric on the neckline. Not too much though. But I know what you mean!

ejs4y8- You know EXACTLY what was thinking! I literally am barely a "B" cup girl.

so I really dont need a lot of coverage. im not stick thin but i am about a size 2.

I just want the dress to look more delicate as I dont have anything to cover.

im definetely going to attempt to pin it to see what it would look like but I really hate how it looks right now. I really think its meant to cover a bustier girl because it covers so much more then my bust.

It's a full coverage gown and with the bolero, I definitely think it'll balance it out nicely if she makes the cups less full coverage. It's not like you've got big cleavage you're hiding, just a delicate collarbone and neckline!

It's an easy fix for the seamstress, definitely!!!

^ You made me smile, you gave me confidence! hehe

I also have to get the bolero taken in too. As its just too big! I think with these adjustments it could look really good! I just feel frumpy in the dress as of right now. its big in all these places! aha

As a fellow small chested girl, I'd say either 1) deepen the v but forget the lace (i.e. don't deepen it so much as to be immodest - er, skanky) or 2) invest in some cutlets for the big day, and keep the dress as-is.

i really love your dress.. I do. seriously if it was me, would have walked out the store with it on lol  :P but I understand about the lace and the bolero. Cant hurt to see if the dressmaker has a bit of lace to give you an impression? going to look great either way for sure. You look STUNNING in that dress.

daydreamwanderer - your going to think this is off but i LOVE my small bust, i actually prefer it. I dont want to appear larger i actually want to appear same if not a little smaller lol! Hence why I thought the cutting down of fabric would give me that old romantic look. The seamstress does have lace and I will hold it up to see how it is, but after seeing everyones opinions i probably will do the cut but not lace.

ccraynetobe- Oh my gosh! thank you so much for the compliment. it seriously makes me feel so much better, i have been worried for a while that I cant pull the dress off!

If you would like to make the v-neck deeper, you should totally go for it.  I have a similar build and I agree that, for us smaller-chested women, a deeper v can be really slimming without looking trashy (obviously, there are limits, but you know what I mean).  Lace would just make it look fussy.  If you already have the bra you are going to wear with it, though, make sure you aren't taking it down so far that it starts showing.

historienne - I totally agree. I pretty much have nixed the lace (you bees convinced me!) But i still like the low v neck i think it can make the dress more elegant

Love your dress! I think it would look fine to take some fabric off the top, but I'd definitely skip the lace!

Honestly I say a size 2 is stick thin :D.  And if you want to show a bit more skin, I think you definitely can and be okay with it.  You look beautiful btw :D

nick-ster & Amanda.Lynn - yeah i really think making it a deeper v neck and thinning out the fabric a little bit will make it beautiful!

My comment is conditional... you have to repost the pics from the seamstress :P. hehe I'm just kidding, but I'm sure we'd all love to seem em!!

I can tell what you mean by there being too much fabric, its like its just slightly too big/too loose on you & you want it to be more fitting. In my opinion, maybe have them take in the sides, or use darts, that may help give more of your shape.

If you're really wanting lace, than maybe you could have the seamstress also add lace to the waist ribbon? I love the dress as is thou :).

    does it have pockets??!
