I heard from my hair and makeup girl that the Jessica Simpson hair extensions aren’t real hair. So I think they’ll melt or get messed up if you curl them with a curling iron. I’m not sure if that’s true though. Hope that helps!

can you believe that my hair is so thin that I can’t even wear Jessica Simpson extensions? You can just see past my thin hair and the clips are sticking out. BLAHHHH 🙁

I would talk to your hair stylist about getting real extensions, it will make it easier to style on your wedding day and you will have full hair for your honeymoon too! I also think these are less likely to look obvious in thin hair…. good luck!

Go to a gnc and get biotin! It will help your hair grow. Also find the product by Kevin Murphy called Staying alive and spray it all over your hair twice a day! The Jessica Simpson extensions are junk. Go to a wig shop and have someone help you. You can just purchase track extensions and sew clips on yourself. It will save you tons of money. Also talk to you stylist she could color them your exact haircolor

@phxbride87: http://www.amazon.com/Kevin-Murphy-Staying-Leave-Conditioner/dp/B002UEFG2Q/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=beauty&qid=1297910176&sr=8-2

There is a link to buy the staying alive. It isnt cheap but ive seen it make the hair grow maybe not that quickly but might as well try. You could get the kind of extensions that are fused in but depending on how fragile your hair is that might not be a good idea. Plus they are super expensive but would last for months. If you want to go that route check out the brand called Great Lengths. You can look up their website and find stylists in your area that are certified. Greatlengths.net is their site.

Good luck!

My friend went through Chemo and used Ovation cell therapy…you can google it but that stuff is freaking amazing!  Her hair is SOOO long and gorgeous now and before it was of course falling out in clumps.  I have often thought about getting some for my own personal use because I get my hair highlighted etc but its very expensive and I have just started using the Ion protein treatments.

Long-term solutions you should do: Take Biotin, as you know.  Switch to a natural, sulphate-free shampoo and conditioner.  The more natural you can afford to go the better (i.e. mud shampoos being best, etc).  At least go with something like the Say Yes to Carrots brand.  Why?  These types of products keep your hair follicles from clogging up with gunk and help new hair growth come through.  Good luck!

@phxbride87: Another good thing to do is to stimulate the blood flow. I love having a reason to give myself (or have Mr.ND give me) scalp massages at night and in the morning. I’ve been growing my hair out for quite some time, and it’s fine and somewhat thin. By washing less often, using SLS free shampoos, and making sure that I’ve been stimulating the blood flow to my scalp, I’m definitely much happier with my hair 🙂

ETA: Sorry, just re-read. Not that the massages will help you a ton in the next two weeks, but they’re definitely something to keep up with to encourage new hair growth. I do suggest as others have said about finding some real-hair extensions or a wig that’s close to what your hair looks like.

@phxbride87: I’ve got a killer headache, send that massager my way! Hehe.

I didn’t mean to insinuate you waited too long, I just misread the post and wasn’t thinking of fast treatments. I am happy to see you have such a good attitude about it though, it really is just hair and there are SO many fixes if your natural hair isn’t cooperating on the big day. Kudos to you!
