@TakeTwo:  I appluad you and your husband for taking the time to work things out. It seems a lot of couples just throw their relationship away right away without taking the time to veen try to unerstand each other. I hope the past is truly behind both of you, and you can coninue to work toward the future. Good luck.

@TakeTwo:  The one thing that stood out to me in your post is: I know that I can’t afford to hold out for Prince Charming like healthy and accomplished women can, if I don’t want to die alone.

It sounds to me like you feel you are settling. I hope that is not the case and I hope you two can continue to work on your relationship. Have a great weekend away! Happy anniversary.

@TakeTwo:  You seem to have this thing about men. It’s not that there are no perfect men out there, there are no perfect people out there. However, you can find someone who is perfect for you. Obviously we don’t know whether your husband is that for you, but MrsPanda99 is right… your post does make it sound as though you are settling. I hope that is not the case. Everyone deserves some sort of happiness.

@TakeTwo:  That doesn’t mean they have to settle. They don’t have to marry someone. They also don’t have to settle for someone who doesn’t love them. Successful and handsome does not equal not settling. Just like not attractive doesn’t mean you’re settling. It’s all about how they treat you, and whether they’re a good person/good partner.

I think it’s AWESOME that you guys are celebrating an anniversary, and that you stuck out the hard times together. It’s encouraging. :}
