Thanks, folks! I've now found a third person, and the lanterns have been ordered.

We had one person who had to drop out of our group to buy 27 natural irregular paper lanterns, 18-inch size. Thus, we have one vacancy. If we can get a third person in the DC area, then for a total of $75.30 per person, we can get:
- 27 paper lanterns
- 200 white superbright diffuse 10 mm LED lights
- 200 coin-sized lithium batteries.
For reference in terms of the amount of light produced, below is a picture of one 10-inch lantern with 6 LED lights. Since 200 LED lights would allow for 7 LED lights per lantern, this number of lights should give a similar effect in an 18-inch lantern. If you are interested, please contact me via the contact form at the bottom of this page.
