    Hi bees,

I am marrying my BEST friend in less than 90 days and we have ben engaged for over a year now. I never really FELT like a bride... until our first official weddig gift arrived in the mail this week. It is so surreal. I am shocked that it took this long to finally FEEL like a bride (even after buying the perfect dress). My FMIL, mom, nad sister have been gushing over me since we got engaged and everyone kept telling me to enjoy the attention of being a bride.

Id it bad that I didn't care... until now?!

    eek! I'm excited!!

QUESTION: The gift came wrappde from Target, and my fiance accidentaly opened card revealing its contents. Are we supposed to open gifts that come early or do we keep them wrapped up until after the day?

Also, do I send a thank you card now... or after the wedding?

    Thanks!

OMG this is indeed so super exciting for you - - I would send a thank you card straight away. In your card you can put that you were extremely caught up in the excitement and couldn't wait until the special day - - thank you so much xyz.....

Think of how many TY cards you're going to have to write - you might as well write them as the gifts begin to arrive...Then again I have zero clue about the proper TY card etiquette Tongue out

I am so happy that you finally feel like you are getting married and that you are going to be a bride... I feel like I am planning an event that is so far in the future that I cant wrap my mind around it.  (I also plan about 20 events a year for work so I always have something that I am planning)  I think that I just want to feel like we are getting married... I feel like I am throwing money into an abyss... But I know this will all change when the day gets closer.

I am pretty sure that you can open the gift when you receive it.  I would write the thank you note and then keep it in a pile... then mail it out right after your wedding.  I don't think that people are expecting thank you notes until after anyway.

Anyone else have more experience with this???  Feel free to chime in with any pearls of wisdom :)

I have no wisdom to pass on but I would open because I'm the type of person who tries to open everything before Christmas day :) I have no patience. You also get to get rid of boxes and start writing thank you cards so there's less to do later. But seriously, I have no experience. Just wanted to say YAY.. presents! And yay for the 90 day mark!
