I thought it would be fun to have a year long engagement. I wanted to be able to "enjoy" being engaged. Now, I am at month number 4 and I can't wait to be married to my honey. I am tired of having to go to seperate homes and wait for him to be mine. Is anyone else going through this too? Or am I alone and being ridiculous?

I am with you! We live together and I am still getting tired of the wait! We pushed ours back for a bunch of reasons, so of course I keep wondering if we did the right thing as I get antsier and antsier knowing that it is well over a year away!

I felt the same way as you, except out 15 month engagement was because we wanted summer and didnt want to plan a wedding in 3 months so we waited until the following summer.  But once I hit the 6mo mark, I was so ready to just have my wedding!  I felt like I couldve too since everything was already booked but it was so worth the wait!

I am at the 8 month mark and I am ready to be married!  Good thing I only have 3 months left to go.

We're going through a 14 month engagement. I'm ready to be married too, this planning drives me up the wall sometimes.

I'm with you! I can't wait to be married and we live together! I'm sure once the weather gets nicer the time will start flying by since I'll be outside getting in shape and hopefully getting some color on my pale skin!

I'm in month 15 of a 18 month engagement.  So trust me - I completely understand.  I wish I could say that it got easier..... but that wasn't the case with us.  And we're long distance too, so we won't actually live in the same city until 3 days before we're married!

I do have to say though - time goes so fast!  Especially when you get near the end.  I can't believe January is over already and we're down to 3 months!  Just know that you'll get there eventually and you'll be his wife soon!

I feel for you! I was supposed to be getting married this coming summer but our wedding conflicted with 2 classes I needed to take in order to get into grad school for the following school year and Mr. Sneakers didn't want to be newlywed when I was in grad school (because we won't get to see each other a lot). So now the plan is to see where I go for grad school and then set a date when we know what my schedule will be like for the next couple of years. It is so annoying being engaged for over a year and not having a date set!

Awwwww....I'm sorry for all of you. My engagement is a little under a year but we live together so that makes it easier. ((Hugs)) Be patient...it will be well worth the wait.

OUr engagement will end up being 22 months, for a number of reasons. We're about 6 months in and I am already sick of it! And we live together!! I just want it to get here already. I am definitely with you!

I felt the same way with our long engagement.  At least yours sounds like it was only a year, mine was 3!

sooooooo feel the same way, sort of... the only difference is that we're both moving after graduation, so i'm kind of just wanting to skip three months!

Well... we're only moving different places if i can't find a job!

I'm right there with you Kimelfaye. We're both in law school and have been engaged for over a year (since 1/3/09). We will probably end up getting married in August 2011 b/c of school. That's over 2.5 years! We'll all make it through the wait though :)

Yes we will Golden 139!   I'm glad I'm not the only one with a long engagement.

I just hate when other people ask me the date and I'm semi-clueless and they act disappointed/uninterested after that.
