we did this for my friend's wedding in september. we all picked from dresses in the same fabric and same basic shape. it was really cute and the pictures look great. it matches without all being EXACTLY the same. if you have BMs of different sizes or styles, they will love that!
I'm in 2 weddings next year (MOH in both - my sisters are also getting married!) and have my own wedding. For 1 sister, we're wearing what we want from the Watters & Watters line in a particular fabric, my other sister picked the dress we will all be wearing, and I went back and forth but just decided to let them pick their own in the line in the same color/fabric/length (Amsale long jersey dresses - I heart them and I want one for myself! Although I guess I get one since the same-dresses-for-all sister is going with one of the Amsale long jersey styles too).
I prefered the 1-dress option from the Amsale sister, but mainly because I didn't care for the fabric at W&W. For my own BMs, I figured since I was asking them to spend more than we originally talked about ($300 was their limit, I was hoping to keep it under $200) they should choose the style they liked best.
Have you also looked at Macy's and Nordstrom? There are lots of really cute one-shoulder dresses! (You just have to be careful they don't discontinue them!)
Gosh...I am plugging Macy's and Nordstrom today - I should get commission!

I thought this was going to be the easy part! But after visits to numerous boutiques with my MOH to have her try on dresses, I'm not any closer.
Yesterday was a huge tease- we went to David's Bridal, she found a GREAT dress that was a chiffon one-shoulder strap made with rosettes, she tried it on, came out of the dressing room and we both looked at each other and said 'Oh yea- this is the one'. It was gorgeous. Then the saleslady helping us said 'Oh, that should have been on our clearance rack- it's discontinued. We can't order it anymore'. F$$K! $^&%@#%@$^^&$!!!
She's right- it's not even online anymore. I'm so dress depressed.
Today on my way home from work, I stopped in a salon we hadn't been to as of yet. They had a ton of the B2 collection and there were several styles that were great. So it got me thinking- pick out a variety of styles from the B2 line, let the BM's know my color, and let them choose one. It would certainly take some pressure off me to make all the girls happy and this way they can choose something they'll feel pretty in!
I wanted to know if any of you are having their BM's wear different dresses from the same line. How did the girls like it? How do you think it will look?
Thanks for your input!
