This cell phone pic is kind of a side angle, it’s actually the first one I took when we got engaged in September 2010.
The diamond setting is a little raised. I think it looks weird with a regular flatter band? Show me yours if you did something like that!
I don’t get the whole soldering your band to your ring thing. Plus, I don’t think that’s an option for me since my ring has little diamonds on the sides.
This wedding band thing stresses me out. Sometimes I just want to get a colored stone ring, and wear it on my other hand as my “wedding band”. Yeah, I’m not really conventional.

What a beautiful e-ring!
My advice would be to forget your budget and hit the jewelry stores. Go to as many stores as you can and try on all kinds of things, even if they are ridiculously high priced. Let the sales clerks suggest things too… try on things that you wouldn’t normally try on.
By doing this, you will get lots of ideas. And you’ll probably end up finding examples of wedding bands that never would have occurred to you otherwise. Once you know what styles you like, and what features look best with your e-ring, you can start price-shopping for something that is within your budget.
I was never a fan of baguettes until I tried one on with my e-ring in a jewelry store a few months ago. I didn’t end up choosing a baguette band, but boy, was it pretty in a way I hadn’t expected!
Good luck with your search… I am positive that you will end up finding something you love that looks like it was just made for your beautiful ring!

Did the designger of the e-ring make a wedding band that complements it?

My Fiance designed the ring. By this I mean he chose the setting type, the stones, and the shape of the diamond.
I tried to go try things on quite some time ago but it was super time consuming because the jewlers just chat you up and try to sell you things. I would go again but my life is crazy right now. I literally have no time until I leave my job, which won’t be for another month.
I’m just trying to get ideas and examples from other brides : )
Also, I was planning on getting my band from Gemvara.com because I want a colored band and someone gave me a certificate. I’m kind of torn.
Thanks ladies <3

@LuluInLove: I think something like this would be beautiful with your ring… Of course this one is high priced I just want to give you an idea of a style
Even something like this…
When you shop online make sure they have a good return policy and order some and try them out.. some even have free return shipping. Unfortunately without trying it on you won’t know if it looks good or not. That is what I’m doing myself because I , like you, have no time to go in the stores and try stuff on. Half the time the sales associates try to convince you to buy things you didn’t even go there to look at.

here’s mine. I have a raised diamond and the flat band mimics the channels on the engagment ring. hope this helps.
Oh and when we went to the jeweler he picked out one other band and than said this ring had a matching band created for it, so that’s the one we got.

maybe you can go back to the store where your fi had it made and they can help you design a band to compliment it.
it’s beautiful, btw.

That is very pretty! I get what you mean about the diamonds on the side and soldering… I don’t have diamonds on the side but I have engraving and milgrain details on the sides of my wedding band and engagement ring (they came as a set).
I wasn’t sure about whether I wanted to solder, asked the jeweler about how they could solder a set like that and she said they’d solder only along the bottom third or so. This way if I wanted to I could detach them later with no harm to the detailing. The key thing, she said, is that if you have two bands with side details and you DON’T solder them together, then when they twist and turn together constantly on your finger they can scratch one another. That might be a consideration for you… diamonds scratch things, so whatever they rub against can be scratched up!

We may have the same setting! Check out Blue Nile because they have a band that looks like a perfect match: http://www.bluenile.com/diamond-ring-platinum_4908 . It has the three-sided pave diamonds and milgrain.
