My uncle’s ex wife, who I still consider my aunt, is a hair stylis and has offered to do my hair as a present.
She just cut my hair yesterdayand she was brainstorming for what to do. She saw pictures of my dress and said she wanted to do a Grecian inspired curly updo. I have been dead set on a headband as a something blue. She said to look up what she was talking about because she didn’t have time to do it.
I LOVE this look. (My dress is a halter and flowy and simple, so the look is similar)
But would it look okay with a veil? Pinned underneath?
My hair is thick and curly, but it doesn’t get big because it’s long.

I think this would work perfectly! Can you do a trial run soon (even if you don’t have the exact headband) so that you can re-think if it doesn’t work?

@christoffels: Earliest would be April. I go back to school to student teach next week. My first break is then.

That was my inspiration pic for the hairstyle I did in my profile photo. I could have easily tucked a veil in underneath.
And it was SUPER easy to do with naturally curly hair. I just let my hair air dry normally. I ran around all morning doing last minute set ups (in and out of the rain because it was April). Then I threw it up, pinned it with a couple of bobby pins and took off again. I was going to do a headband, but it was too much with the rest of my accessories.
And everyone complimented me on it. People wanted to know who did it, etc. It’s such a flattering style (I was wearing a long grecian inspired one shouldered gown to the event).
I will likely do something similar for the wedding, though I’ll get someone else to do it.
Go for it!

This is my inspiration so similar but has the veil under to give you an idea.
