@noopnoop:

“Please note that all our caskets can hold up to ten tampons, two maxi pads or the collected menstrual fluids from a single menstrual cycle.”

I’m going with not for real. (Though the internet has taught me that any opinion sufficiently ignorant is indistinguishable from satire. 🙂

I understand the need for a funeral for a still birth or late miscarriage, but this is sick.

As a pious Christian woman, it not sinful to give conduct a Personhood Funeral ceremony to an egg that did not become a child. It WOULD be sinful, however, to flush your child away into a septic tank or sewage system.

If you don’t want  to pay for funerals for eggs that have not been converted into children,  you can have your menstrual blood tested by a forensic laboratory each cycle to determine whether you had a miscarriage.

I can’t I just can’t believe this.

As Christian women, we know that we must treat every menstrual cycle as a potential miscarriage.

😐

I couldn’t read on too much further.  At least there are people in the comments that get how gross that site is.

ETA: Ok, I read a little further.  Definitely a joke!  I wonder what happens, though, when you go to place an order?

Definitely a joke. This is at the bottom of the page that explains the “funeral” packages (ranging from $14,000 – $21,000): *** Satin-Lined option is vital for the most God-fearing, Jesus-loving families

 The site is making a political statement about “personhood” being established for any fertilized egg, effectively turning any abortion into murder.  It is a parody by people who are pro-choice.

I feel like it is someone trying to make a farce of what can be a serious issue, considering lines like this

“Satin-Lined option is vital for the most God-fearing, Jesus-loving families”
And the “Yearly special for $21,000”.
I am fairly certain some jerk is making fun of conservative Christians which I think is in INCREDIBLY poor taste, especially for women who have legitimently had miscarriages, reguardless of relgious belief. Satire can be funny, but if this were about a Muslim belief or anything like that, it wouldn’t just be satire, it would be a hate crime.

Even though this smells of Onion, I think the site is real-bet they make money selling caskets for tampons. Gag.

Just horrible. But the entrepreneurial spirit of America never ceases to amaze me.

ETA: just saw the previous posts. Whew! Glad it’s not real.
