For the ones that dont know this is a tv show, that means is is made for the dramatics. I can gurantee to the fact that this is probably all staged just like every other reallity show. I cant wait to see what people get when they actually have a party.. it is not going to be all the glamour tha the show depicts. I know i had my wedding there and the ac was broke... definitely not happy... I guess the cameras werent fiming back then to fix it for my wedding. oh well just an FYI to everyone.
I am sorry Briber but I am not sure what you are referring to... Hints?
What show? What?
And who doesn't know by now that reality TV is fake?
Honey, maybe you can calm down for a second to tell us what you are talking about?
Tell me if I'm piecing this together properly - you had your wedding at a location you saw on some unnamed reality show and things went sour, and you're blaming the show for depicting the place as better than it actually was?
Kittyachi - I'm going with your story! Even if the AC broke, I don't think that it's necessarily the fault of the venue. Machinery breaks. Things happen.
@kittyachi - that's exactly what I was going to say. Hm. As this is her only post to date I wonder if she will come back and tell us which venue, and which show.
Maybe she is talking about Bridezillas? Did anyone see the show about the girl in CA - there were fires that almost took our her reception location a few days before? In the next episode she then proceeded to throw down a sample centerpiece and smash a cake...I had to turn the channel the acting was so terrible. Great 'reality!'
Maybe it is that Masters of Reception show on TLC that she is talking about... That is pretty recent...
Briber?
Here's my guess:
She was trying to respond to the thread "Bridezillas" where the question was asked "is this show fake".
That's the way I piece it together.
well, she says that "it's not glamour like the show depicts" so apparently, on the show it was good -- but in real life it's not!
lol, this is like a figuring out a mystery. I'm bored at work, what can I say?
Hehehe ... this is interesting .. a little adventure for my night lol
Haha. I hope she's talking about Bridezillas because that show is super fake. I love to hate it.
I like watching Bridezillas. LOL! I told my mom that I won't be a "bridezilla" until the day of the wedding. Then I will be SO stressed that I'll snap at everyone. LOL
What's fake Briber? Hello
LOL this post is great. @AbbyM, I had to turn that Bridezillas off too. That chick was out of her mind and god-awful "actress." Terrible
The cake smashing flower throwing girl was a little more than I could handle. I mean seriously, the switching cake flavors 3 times, get over yourself!
I read a post on The Knot about Cake Boss, where a couple was featured and they supposedly got the wrong cake on their wedding day, but they really didn't. I almost feel bad for the delivery guy (Stretch?) who gets blamed for everything, but probably doesn't actually do anything wrong!
I love that this thread is still going...without a topic or a clue what the original poster was talking about!!!
OMG hahaha this one is still kicking around from yesterday, huh?
I was thinking maybe it's Platinum Weddings (which I can't deal with because it depresses me about my real-life person budget). I can MAYBE see how a person might think a venue would look a certain way if they saw it on there with the like millions of dollars worth of draping and lighting these people put into it, but then you get there and it's ummmm not like that because people have to pay out the rear end for that sort of thing.
I love Bridezillas, btw, but of course it's fake. I think they get money to act especially psycho. Who saw the one where the chick has a temper tantrum when they go to but their wedding bands because she wants a NEW engagement ring that costs 30K and her FI was like you are out of your mind and then she goes outside and cries. AHAHAHA. So great.
No word yet?
The consensus seems to be Bridezillas- but to go back to Platinum Weddings, I did catch an episode of Platinum Weddings for the first time recently- surely that could be fake too. They reveal what the bride and groom's occupations are, and I really wonder if they match with these 400k weddings. Even if you were old money and your parents were footing the bill, I am suspicious about the reality. Maybe the show's trying to boost the unnecessary need for vendors who will suck you dry...
I'm in love with this thread. Since she refers to the fact that "the AC was broke" I'm thinking she's talking about Wedding Central. I hope she pops back in to explain herself!
I've seen a episode of "whose wedding is it anyway" that a bride freaked out when the AC wasn't working at the church or reception site. Maybe that's what she's talking about?
LOL this thread is funny!!
I love the this tread is still going, I've been hoping she'd come back.
