So this is my dress (yaaay)… I promised I would post it but never did. I love its simplicity but something I don’t love about strapless necklines is the risk of looking naked in some shots or looking too broad’shouldered. So… I found this cute little bolero but now I’m second guessing myself.
Should I use the bolero? should I leave it as it is? Or should I maybe add spaghetti straps?
I’d also love to hear your suggestions for the rest of the look.
And this is it with the bolero… Of course the dress needs some ironing

I vote no on the Bolero. Its cute in the back but I’m not a fan of the front

Your dress looks beautiful on you! I like the concept of the bolero, but if your main concern is looking naked or broad shouldered you don’t have anything to worry about. Rarely have I seen wedding photos with the bride looking naked in a strapless dress. I’m not sure how I feel about the lace…since your dress is so simple otherwise I feel like it might be a little out of place.

I think that bolero overpowers the dress. It’s pretty without it, and I don’t think it’s possible for you to look broad shouldered.

Your dress is very pretty as it is; your shoulders look very delicate and feminine.

Sorry, not a fan of the bolero. I have never seen any wedding pictures where a bride looks naked because she is wearing a strapless dress so I dont think you should worry too much about that.

Love the dress as is! Unlike pp, I like the bolero from the front but not the back! I prefer without though. The dress is so pretty on you!

I agree with PPs–love the dress without the bolero (and I am a huge bolero lover/wearer).

I actually really like the bolero! It’s one of the cutest ones I have seen. You could always wear it for the ceremony and take it off at the reception.

NO on the bolero. It doesn’t match at all. You can also add a larger necklace for when you’re sitting at a table and worried you’ll look naked.

No bolero or spaghetti straps. It’s perfect as is!

that bolero suits you and the dress very well! you need to feel comfortable and not selfconsious on your day!

MrsMusicBird111: The dress is gorgeous on you as it is – if you must add something I’d suggest a fairly simple necklace, to make a slight V shape.

I really like the bolero! I think it adds a touch of romance to your dress.

I had the same concerns, about looking naked in pictures and general exposure concerns. I added cap sleeves for my dress. I love the idea of a bolero, but I don’t think the lace one goes with your dress. There’s a lot of beautifully simple chiffon boleros. Maybe that would work better? It’s an option. 🙂
