So this is my reception area
I have 11 round tables with ivory linen on it, chairs with ivory chair cover and a moss sashes. Every table has a tall glass vase with curly willow, ivory cherry blossoms and three teealights and there are crystals (three or four) hanging from the branches. Cutlery and dished will be at the table when guests arrive.
There is a head table infront of the window, ivory linen with all our flowers on it and green and brown votives. the cake table will be close by with a light green table cloth and a ivory sash around it.
This is ALL i have for decorations in the room? do i need more? any suggestions?
Im wearing an ivory gown, the girls are in green, the boys in black tuxes with brown vests. WE have a photo botth in the far corner past the fireplace (a mock photo booth) and thats it. We are going for a nature theme, greens, browns, ivory and bits of purple.
Help bees!!! 🙂

Uh, you have the beautiful nature as your decorations! I’m sure it will look lovely as you described. What a nice view!

Honestly the venue speaks for itself. There is no need to spend time/money/effort on decorating a space that is so beautiful to begin with. What you have described sounds perfect.

I agree – with the natural colors you are using and the wall of windows – I think it will look great with what you have planned. It looks like a beautiful venue.

I love the windows. I had a friend do an autumn version of this- minimal decor and awesome windows. it was stunning!

I agree I think the view is what will be wonderful. Love those lounge chairs in the back! Very cool. Are you using those? You could always do a different arrangement on the lounge tables.

The lounge chairs are cool hey! Very vintage..unfortunatley once the tables and dance floor is in there we are tight on room so they wont be used 🙁 Maybe two for the faux-to-booth though!

No…do not touch that room. It is gorgeous! And the decor you described is perfect for that setting, simplistic, chic and sophisticated. BRAVO!

I agree with everyone else…..perfect!

I think you could add a few more small things, but anything big or splashy would detract from what looks like a gorgeous view. I think it’ll look stunning the way it is. You did an amazing job.

Will those armchairs be there for a lounge area? If so, you could add some inexpensive toss pillows in your wedding colors. What you have will be very pretty as is though.

Thanks ladies!!! I litereally feel way less stressed just having someone say it looks great!!
Im SUCH a visiual person so its so hard to feel happy and secure about everything when i dont get to see what it looks like. This picutre is only HALF the size of the room and it has those beautiful windows the whole way down…NO ONE has ever had a wedding reception there!!!! Im the first..yikes!

I think it looks great. With the accents you’re describing it’ll go with everything. You’re definitely enhancing the view, not distracting from it. I love the chandeliers too.

If you are going to add anything I would think about lighting. Some up-lighting. You probably can rent Can lights and by Amber Light blubs or even some green Blubs from your linen Company. Or local party rental place. Here in California our Party Rental places rent Can lights for $10.00 each. Blubs are about 2-3 dollars each.
This Venue is sOOOOOOOO pretty and your color theme is perfect for it! Great choice!
I will attach a picture of lighting with can lights. I used alot of red for this Valentines Day party. You probably wouldn’t need that much color! But, just to give you an idea!
Plus it really makes for fun when the dancing starts! Oh….some DJ’s have lighting options too for a 100 bucks or so. You might ask! I’ll attach a picture of what my DJ did for the Valentines day dance. It was called a GOBO. in hearts.
