Literally. I have troublesome eyebrows. They’re naturally curly (thanks, Dad) and if they are not carefully maintained by a professional, they become unruly and I start bearing an uncanny resemblance to a neanderthal. And, about 6 months ago, I met the aesthetician of my dreams. She understood my eyebrows. She understood my face. She knew how to make the two work together in a beautiful harmony. And, when I went in for an appointment, and she wasn’t there, and I was stuck with a substitute, said substitute took a huge chunk out of one eyebrow and basically disfigured me (I might be exaggerating). When I next saw my girl, she was very understanding, refunded my money from the last wax, comped the current wax, and promised she would fix it and get me back on track. We were well on our way to me having the perfect eyebrows for my impending nuptials. And then. The phone call. Reminding me of tomorrow’s appointment. Oh, and did I know that Rachel had left the salon? WHAT. NO. No no no no no. So that’s it, dear bees. She’s gone. I don’t know where. And my eyebrows are now wandering in the wilderness not knowing which way to turn. Will I find someone equally wonderful in time to have wonderful wedding eyebrows? Will I? I just. don’t. know.

You should ask the salon if they know where she went. Or post a missed connections on Craigslist (haha).
Or do what I do because my eyebrows are so terrible and jacked up as well: grow some bangs and hide them!

Yeah, I would ask the salon if they know where she went or if they have a contact # for her. A lot of girls switch salons quite a bit so I keep my girls cell #s on me all the time! I refuse to go to anyone else!
If you can’t find her maybe talk to the manager and tell her what’s going on. Maybe she’ll know who is best suited for handling your situation?

Ok, excellent advice, ladies. I called the salon and asked about where she might have gone–apparently she’s having some health issues (she seemed totally fine, so I’m really really surprised) and so she’s left and hasn’t gone anywhere else. They said they would be interviewing new girls this week and that I should call back next week. I should go somewhere else, right? I’m fairly new to the area, so I don’t know a lot of people to get a recommendation from, but I’ll start looking around. I’m not sure I trust someone that they just hired and don’t really know all that well themselves….

I would ask the salon to ask the girl to give you a call. They know how to get intouch with her. See if there is someone that she trusts to send you to since she knows how your eyebrows are. My aesthetician always had a replacement for me when she went on maternity leave. Hope you find someone good!
