Don’t feel bad – the week I was born had an awesome 70’s song:

Got to Give It Up (Part I) by Marvin Gaye (last week of June/first day of July 1977)

Tell me about it. When some of the ladies said they never heard of Paula Abdul’s Straight Up or didn’t know the gender of Sinead O’Connor, I suddenly felt ancient, lol!

As soon as I saw the song they wrote, I started singing them in my head.

I should probably mention that I am not quite 30 yet but this still makes me feel old.

I feel ya, girl!  I was born in the 80s but am the biggest fan of 80s music so it blew my mind that not everyone is as big of an 80s-phile as me… =)

I avoided that thread just because i knew it WOULD make me feel old (I already hate the fact that i’m getting married so late in my life so this is not a good thing..imho).

@krissycake .. i’m a huge 80s fan myself.. drives my FH crazy.

(My #1 song was Anne Murray – You Needed Me…. )

That thread made me feel old. My song was “The Morning After”. I was born in 73. I was in high school when some of these songs were Number one.

I also avoided the thread, knowing it would freak me out.

My song was Midnight Train To Georgia from Nov 1973.   Awesome song.

@danadelpiha THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! I went to try on dresses for the first time today. I went on my own because I was so terrified of the whole experience and walking in seeing these “kids” in there who are getting maried made me feel soooo terrible . . . I don’t necessarily feel old but that was crazy my “baby” brother looked older than some of the brides in there. I’m a 1975 baby too and I can’t even begin to tell you how perfect your timing is this has made me feel a little less yucky and a little less alone!
