I’m sure this is not news to anyone on the TTC boards, but yeah I’m starting to stress out about it. We’re doing our best to keep it low key and not getting into charting and monitoring and all of that. Really, we’re barely squeaking in under the definition of “trying.” That being said, it’s hard not to get caught up and suddenly starting to be vigilant about things I’d never thought of before. I’m checking my mucus every time I go to the bathroom. MY. MUCUS.
So what prompted this mini-outburst? It’s almost 1am here, and we’re both really tired. Have been all day. He went to bed first, and then I went to the bathroom to get ready for bed. BAM. EWCM. I actually then went to him and told him ABOUT MY MUCUS. His response? “Ohhh man. Wake me in an hour. I need a nap first.” He’s totally serious! What are we doing? Lol, it makes me laugh thinking of all of the energy I used to spend on NOT getting prego. Life’s funny.

@HisMoon: You may want to keep it low key, but a mucus check is not low key. Would it make you feel better to start charting? Having the data at your fingertips might make you a little less anxious.

Story of our lives! I second what @squishycupcake: is saying. Charting really helps keep the anxiety down (except when it doesn’t). You know when you should be BD’ing & when it’s just for fun. Definitely stressfully comical!

I third the charting aspect. It’s good to get to know your body. GL

Thank you, ladies! Yeah, we should probably start charting. I’ve been reluctant to do so in case it just made me more anxious than less, but that ship has obviously sailed anyway, ha. This is/was only our second cycle, and I’ve been surprised by how quickly we ramped up the excitement and anxiety. Just the other day, Fiance asked me when I could start POAS! Adorable, clueless man. Fertility friend, here I come!

Oh man can I relate in a way. We are not TTC yet but I have other health issues that involve bowel problems. My poor husband doesn’t know what to do if I carry on about my bowel habits. It’s a big deal to me sometimes. Heaven helps him once we start TTC. I also agree that charting may be a good idea for you. best of luck and baby dust to you!
