I just sent out our STD’s and my roommate from college (who orginally wanted to be a BM) just text me and said “I thought _____ was your MOH”. I responded by saying that my SIL was now and that _____ and I thought it was best if I asked someone else given her work schedule and being out of state (plus she didn’t really want to do it but I didn’t want to trash her or anything so I just kept my resonse simple). Then I asked my college roommate how she was.
This was several hours ago and I haven’t gotten a response. All she said was that comment about my Maid/Matron of Honor, nothing about our STD’s or our website or how she found out or even about our wedding plans. I feel like that was so rude and just another reason why I’m glad I didn’t ask her to be in the wedding.

That is rude! It’s not totally the same thing, but I invited an old college friend to the wedding via email (I didn’t have her cell and we live far away) and she responded shortly “Thanks for the invite but I can’t as I’ll be away on vacation. Who else from college did you invite?” I was pissed as she didn’t even say congrats or anything just wanted to know the gossip.

That is something this girl would say! I could totally hear it.
I mean I wasn’t expecting anything from her to say really, but I def wasn’t expecting that question. People sometimes don’t think before the speak, that’s all.

ew that response from her is lame. i texted my childhood best friend (we’ve drifted apart the last two years) that we were engaged (we texted everyone as we were out of the country at the time) and she was the only one who didn’t text back anything. a week later she emailed me and asked how engaged life was—i never got a congrats or anything. i was already waivering on having her in the bridal party, and that just sealed that deal that she was NOT included..
