AWW how cute! There are some differences between them so you can still tell them apart! I love the mustache they both have!! I'm sure your cat would love to have a playmate! We got another puppy for our 2 year old Boston and they ADORE each other now! Good luck and let us know what you decide! :)
Lol, this reminds me of myself. FI and I got a couple cats from the humane society in May. When I went back for a volunteer orientation a few weeks later, they had a new kitten that looked EXACTLY like one of my cats. We can't handle more than 2 right now but I wanted the look-alike kitten too lol
The white and brown one was the cat with the clone baby kitty.
@misschickpea: Well, we do have 2 cats now (the one pictured & then a gray fluffy kitten) & they're brothers & inseperable. I'm a little scared of what if they don't get along or it causes issues, but we'd be getting a female kitten so they should get along. I will definately update!
@galloway111: Lol, I'm glad I'm not the only one!! Its funny because we got our cats last Sept, about a week before my DH's bday & that's the timing of this year & its "national adoption weekend" so it makes me want one even more! Idk how we can resist kittens! Your cats are so cute all snuggled up together :).
If I were left to own devices, I'd probably end up a crazy cat lady. Luckilly my guy keeps me in check and reminds me that two cats is more than enough. I think two cats are perfect. They keep each other company, when we aren't home and I think that playing with each other keeps from from being destructive. Plus, it is double the kitty love :-)
Here are my babies when they were babies:

And here are my Buddy and Odie now:

@SandyThePoet: Glad your guy keeps you in check, mine wants a kitten too so he's no help right now! We missed our cats kittenhoods because they were sick & couldn't be handled much (ringworm).
Do you Bees think it would be fair for me to adopt a kitten & see how it goes & if it doesn't work out, return her? I would hate to do that & that would only happen if things got bad! & I know it takes time but at the same time kittens are most adoptable when they're young so I wouldn't want to prevent her from getting a new family, if that happens. I wish someone had a kitten I could borrow to see how they react/get along with other kitties...
awww! I heart kittens. We have two gigantic orange tabbies that we adopted when they were 7 weeks old.
Here they are as kittens:
And here they are now (snuggling with FI):

That's Oliver on the left (he's tipping the scales around 20 lbs) and Charlie on the right (he's the "little" one at about 13 lbs).
I adopted my first kitten from the Humane League at a "bad time" in that it was right around Thanksgiving & I picked him up and had to take him with me to my parents house for the first 5 days he was with me! It went fine but I felt bad that I had to cart him around so much his very first week. So I don't regret for a minute the fact that it could have been slightly better timing, and I would have missed out on the sweetest boy ever!
When we got our 2nd kitten (about 4 mos later), I literally thought he was going to kill her. He was so much bigger than her and would basically just tackle her. It took a few days and i was paranoid, but they eventually learned to co-exist and are pretty good with each other, other than occasionally hissy-tackle-play.
I know I wouldn't have the heart to return an animal after getting it, so just hang in there and know that they'll eventually learn to get along. I had a friend who got a really adorable kitten off of petfinder and it worked out for them!
ps~ I have a male and a female (both fixed, of course) and there haven't been any issues with different genders, etc.
@pinkandsparkly:So cute! I'm a sucker for orange cats :). 20 pounds is pretty big! I think my mom's old cat (also orange tabby mix) got up to like 25-30 pounds. He was HUGE!
@cerulean713: Well at least he wasn't homeless on Thanksgiving :). So are your cats friends or more like tolerate each other? What if mine team up against her? Ahh I just can't decide. I can't "return" an animal either unless it is hurting my current animals. I took on a cat about a month ago but she kept attacking my dog when my dog was asleep & my dog would run away & the cat would go after her. I had to return her but she got adopted a few days later. I felt horrible, but she got a great home so it worked out.
So verdict is we're not getting the look-a-like kitten :(. But I'm going to see the tabby kitten DH & I liked from last night. And there was a black kitten we also liked too. For some reason I didn't take a photo last night when we saw them, so I'll have to get one today on my visit & share here :). We're still deciding, but leaning towards yes :).
I got Margarita (obviously not the look-a-like kitten)!! YAY! That's the kitten I saw at the pet store last night. She's actually from a humane society on the coast, but they brought her over here to get adopted.
Now I want to change her name... any ideas? We have Conner & Murphy (cats) & Hayley (dog).

What a pretty kitty!!! Hmmm she sort of looks like a Bailey to me, or maybe a Sela.
Omigosh omigosh I love kittens so much! Your kitty has thee cutest mustache!
Love all the other pretty kitties too!
What a cute post! When my sister and I both lived at home we got opposite kitties- she got an all black one and when I got a kitten later on, I got an all white one. When I moved out and felt like I could handle a second cat, I went for in-between and got a gray kitten :) This is my oldest fur-baby, Ozzy. He's 12 years old:

Little brother Cooper as a kitten:

And all growed up (his stripey white "eyebrows" crack me up):

She has the greatest personality, she's friendly & very purr-y & ignores my cats' rudeness. Conner is kinda bein a jerk & making wierd meow noises, but Murphy likes her & follows her around. Hayley loves her but she's not ready to be friends with a dog yet.
@SandyThePoet: I think the name Bailey would confuse my dog. I tried it but my dog came over to me, too bad. I like they "ley" ending. Sela is kinda close to my name too hahah :). Thanks, if you come up with anything else, let me know!
@HappilyEverAfter54: & thanks :). I didn't realize he had the mustache til awhile after I got him & because of it, I imagine he has a french accent.
@SugerPlum: I love it! I'd want a photo of them standing in a row :). Does your gray kitty sleep in the sink?
@serabell: I wish we had done that! Unfortunately, my sisters cat passed away about a year ago- she was about 13 or so, she had a good, long life.
Cooper doesn't sleep in the sink, he was just being naughty! I swear he's half dog sometimes!
Your new kitten is precious! I wanted to suggest Layla for her new name :)
@SugerPlum: Awww that's sad, but 13 years is like 117 in human years! & one of my old roomie's kittens played fetch & he would sleep in the sink. Layla is cute :).
Sorry for all the posts in a row, but something like a girl version of Romeo would be perfect. The boys were named after the Boondock Saints movie... Romeo became their new sidekick. But Romeo isn't a girly name so I'm thinking some kinda spinoff from that...
@serabell: Why not just Romy? :) Romy & Michelle's High School Reunion-love that movie.
I think she looks like she could be a Nellie :)
She's so adorable! Why are kitties so cute, I want too many of them!
I love Romy! but DH doesn't :(. I'm trying to persuade him... but so far no luck.
We did that, but the new cat made our cat's life miserable. Maybe you could ask your vet what they would recommend for getting another cat. My vet told me older female cats usually get along really well with young male cats. (The term cougar kind of makes me giggle now.) Something to consider.
I love cats! I have two that I adopted as adults. I always wonder how cute they must have been as kittens.

Tonight DH & I went to the pet store looking for cat toys. We went by the kitten section (they have kittens from the humane society) & almost came home with a sweet tabby kitten. We decided to wait & think about if we're ready for another cat... so naturally, I go on petfinder.com & found a kitten I love just because she "matches" my cat (mustache!), but she's out of town. We're wanting to get another cat but just don't know if the timing is right yet. But I just love her! Ha & yes she would match my cat but they're so similar it may be confusing.
The look-a-like kitten:
& a giant pic of my cat (sorry I can't resize it!)
