Maybe a sticker in elegant font on the top or side with both your initials like MrInitialLastnameInitialMrsInitial. Although if you aren't taking his name, then that would be a bad suggestion...
@suttonista:I did the ribbon on the outside orginally and it looked silly. I have a couple different prototypes, I'll take a photo of them and post it for you ;)
@beekiss2: Our initials spell VDS, it makes me giggle whenever I see it and my friends are the same. I just can't do it, LOL! I thought about putting the little heart we used on our invites maybe. I agree, I think it needs something on the front.
Taking photos, brb. Thanks for your input!
You can't really see the blue. What's your wedding color? I'd personally go with something that stands out more. And, I do think that something on top would balance it out, and make it look a little fancier. What about a monogram sticker? Or, something like this?

(That flower is a little overkill, but something along those lines.)
I agree with beekiss- a sticker on top with a monogram or your names or the date. The twine will also add more to it.
Okay, so here are the ones with the ribbon on top (and a few other prototypes in the back, LOL). I have these little round button sort of guys that I can stick on them (and hopefully find more of them, I only have about 100 and I would need 150). They're like paper inside the silver rim, so I could stamp or draw on a little heart to match the heart on our invites/RSVP.
@torybrian: I don't have "wedding colours" per say. My BMs are wearing varying shades of blue, and we have pops of red. It's mostly white, and black with hits of the other two. Here's the main page of our invite to give you an idea of our vibe. Simple, graphic, not really girly, elegant, understated. I've done lace wrapped votives for all the tables, so when I saw lace at the dollar store, I grabbed it hoping I could use it for the bubbles. Also, the bubbles used to have butterflies on the lids, but I sliced them all off (too fussy for me), so not all the lids are perfectly smooth for putting a sticker on or whatever.

Winner winner chicken dinner then? Funny, I like it more now that I'm looking at photos of it rather than looking across the room. I don't know why I'm having such a mental block with these damn bubbles! LOL! I've been putting them off for months!!!
Oh I remember seeing those from another post! I love the style!
I'd personally put something on top - I think that's where it needs it. What if you:
* Put red ribbon at the bottom, under the lace
* Put the lace above the ribbon, just a tiny bit higher than the position it's in now
* Attach your circular labels to the top w/ your red heart pic
Last one with the buttons! and a little stamp inside with a heart or something fancy smancy.
I like the last pic with the blue ribbon the outside and the button.
I'll go to Michaels and pick up a little heart stamp tomorrow and repost a photo. I could draw them on but really, after everything else I've DIYed, I'd rather not draw 150 little hearts, LOL!
Thanks for your input ladies! I appreciate it! I'm over the hump, hooray!
How about you put your icon on it! I think it'd be GREAT to incorporate is a great conversation starter is if nothing else is super cute!
Just a thought... I like the heart idea too since it's on the invites =)
The last picture is awesome!! I think once you get the stamp and add the twine it will be perfecto!
I love the last pic you posted with the blue ribbon and the button!
i prefer the picture of the bubbles with the blue ribbon Over the lace with a little button. The ribbon behind the lace looks a little odd, in my opinion. Otherwise, cute!
I agree with you all, I like the lace over the ribbon with the button on top. FI likes the ribbon under. He says it's more subtle and that the ribbon over top is too many layers and looks like "a cheap tissue box cover", LOL! Great description honey ;) So we're compromising and are going to do half and half. Hopefully my twine will get here this week, I'll have to check to see if it's been shipped yet.
@bakerella: Any update on these? I think you were getting really close to something good! I love the idea of putting a little heart in the middle of the button/circle.
@caszos: I'm kicking myself for making them so bloody complicated, LOL! I'm just about done doing all the ribbon and lace wraps, I haven't cut the hearts and stuck them on the buttons yet. Thank god for my Cricut though. I had to take the last couple days off from them because I wanted to smash them all, but I'll hopefully get back to them today (after I clean the house. Wedding mayhem has gotten WAY out of hand). I'll post a photo ASAP!

Hi ladies
I think I'm DIYed out today. I'm working on my bubbles for the guests, and I'm sort of at a stand still. This is what I have so far. They look sort of boring to me, but I don't know what to do to them.
FI prefers the blue ribbon over the red. I'm going to tie a loop of twine (pretty blue/white twine) around the neck so I can hang it from the chiavari chair with the programs. Is that the missing element?! Thoughts? I'm not a feathers and sparkles type of girl, I like things a bit more simple, but I'm just not feeling these yet....
