oh that’s beautiful!!  the original and that green garnet!  I’ve recently become enamored with green amethyst and while we wait for my e-ring to be remade I’ve been having fun ordering some stand ins 🙂  Can’t wait to post them when they arrive!

I was thinking of getting an olive green (fancy light brownish greenish yellow GIA) diamond for this ring if it were up to me, but that’s over $4000 so not now lol

Lol whatever makes you excited that’s what counts. I’m sure whatever gem you pick this jeweler can make the setting easily under $700 AND set the stone to ship to your finger. That garnet was like $1700 for it’s color so mossy may be awesome. Another idea is green amethyst which would be extremely affordable, or blue zircon in its natural titian blue would be pretty too.
