Well they’re either beautiful or I’m a total sap.  Goosebumps prickled and I felt a tear start in my eye.

I think the vows are lovely! Vows need to be personal and authentic, it needs to convey how you feel.

What do you think is missing? Did you want it to be longer? More detailed?

I think your vows are fantastic. They are personal, loving, and touching.

My only suggestion is purely a grammatical one, maybe chance “part in my life” to “part of my life”, I just think that flows a little better.

Otherwise, I love them.

Think you could actually use both parts together. It’s like a blend of personal (1st part) with traditional (2nd part).

@DaneLady:  You should use both parts together in my opinion. By combining them you are expressing what is truly in your heart. Your wedding day is not the day to compromise on your feelings or the words you use to express those feelings. Your wedding day is the day to share what is in your heart and to include your family and friends in the celebration of that heartfelt moment. Your vows are beautiful and heartfelt; most brides struggle to accomplish what you have created. Congratulations on opening your heart and finding the words to show how you feel toward your Fiance.

Btw, with your wedding being in August it is the perfect time to write your vows. I like to see a copy of the couples vows at least a month if not two or three months before their ceremony. It gives me time to help encourage them when they need a objective third person view.

Best wishes for a lovely wedding.
