Pretty much nothing other than the bunting is what i planned or expected for my wedding. I know i will enjoy the day and love it for what it is I just wish some things went how i had hoped!
Some of it is down to comprimise with FI and some just bad luck.
Trying to stay excited is so hard when things don’t seem to be working out so has anyone got any positive examples of things that didn’t go exactly as planned that turned out brilliantly or that they are more excited about than their original plans?

@bluebella13: I have always wanted to get married lakefront at the beautiful lodge by my family cabin. unfortunately, it will only hold about 65 comfortably and FH family totals 70 something on their own! needless to say my dream was completely crushed by that one. in reality due to accessibility issues for the older guests, picking a new venue has been a great choice. lucckily for me I have lucked out and found a venue more incredible than the first, with way better food! it may not be what I had always envisioned… but now I could not imagine having it anywhere else!
Ps. part of what makes the journey to marriage so incredible is having someone to share it with. hopefully you will be able to look back at your day and be happy about the choices you made for yourself as well as the choices intended to make him happy.
