So I drive by a bridal dress botique pretty much every day which is like 5 min from my house. I always dream of going in there to try on dresses when I’m engaged. Well today I drive by and their sign says, “Allure dress sale this weekend”…….and I’m thinking to myself, “Seriously?? I want to go!!!!” and all I can do is curse SO’s name for not proposing yet haha
Yes, I know I could go anyway, but I would like to preserve some of that specialness for when I actually have a ring on my finger. No offense to anyone who bought their dress in advance! Totally personal preference 🙂
This was the same feeling I got when the bridal show expo was in the city a couple weeks ago! Although, as my sister pointed out…”There’s another expo in January…” Yes, I know…sigh!
Anyone else have any of these moments? Haha

oh for sure, ive tagged along once with a friend to a bridal show, i made the mistake of giving them my email address for their future promotions/advertisments etc. ever since then ive been getting hit with bridal show invites, emails from wedding photgraphers and DJs out the wazoo!
talk about a constant reminder, it makes me want to shake my so. but i just grin and bear it like a good little waiting bee 🙂 not to mention it sucked having vendors asking ‘when is your big day?’ i wanna respond ‘you tell me!’ lol.
im like you where i wont dress shop or make any definite plans until i have the ring. it just doesnt feel right doing that when youre still wondering when a proposal is coming.

I can relate. I try to avoid bridal shows at all costs at this point. It would just make me more frustrated actually. But I did find a dress I absolutely loved online. I hope it’s still available when I get engaged. I’ve been looking at my naked ring finger a lot lately trying to imagine what it would look and feel like with a sparkly!

Yes definitely, although mine is more of all the stuff I need to do prior to renting my house out because the timeline we talked about is less than 4 months away. I don’t want to get ahead of myself so there’s a lot I’m holding off on doing until the time comes. There’s a lot of wedding things I’d love to research as well to get some basic ideas of costs and things but I just find myself getting more frustrated because I feel like his endless procrastination is holding things up.
