What about a dual frame with an older and a newer picture of the two of you?  I did this recently for my college roomie and she loved it.

@HobbyLobbyist:  Great ideas, I was also going to suggest photo album. You can do beautiful pages and add some little stories too.

Or depending on your interests and hers… you can do a day of home spa… pamper yourself with some facial masks , peelings, hair stuff etc. (that might be too highschool for the taste of some people though Laughing )

I think time is always a precious gift… so if there’s something she likes to do but has no one to do it with (going to a museum, watching a show…) that might also be nice

@PumpkinSpiceChai:  You could do a gift box of things your friend loves. For example, I’d have Haribo, favourite handbag sized perfume, cinema gift card, favourite lipstick, shower gel & bath bomb. A picture frame & a small bottle of fizz.

For my 30th my best friend got a blank page book and glued in pictures taken over the years from of me with family and friends and then got everyone to sign a little message next to the pictures. There was a pic of me and my sister playing dress up and my sisters message next to it etc. It was such a simple things but such a wonderful gift. A lot of the pictures and messages where funny or touching and it’s a lovely keep sake.

It wouldn’t be expensive at all nor be too difficult to do (it would just require getting people to sign them though).

@MrsGo:  yeah my friend did one for me once. It’s the most thoughtful gift I’ve ever had. She got me to a T. Now I do a gift bag/box for each of my friends big birthdays, new home, new baby, new job or new marriage. They always love them.
