Hi ladies - I am looking for a band right now for our wedding. We are thinking about Hank Lane's Ernest Mills Band. Is anyone familiar with them?

i got married on 7/31 and had the Ernest Mills Band. Overall the band was great and the dance floor was packed throughout the night. One thing I will say is that we asked for them not to go into the crowd and pass around the mike etc and Ernest did do that once or twice but the crowd seemed to be into it so I didn't say anything. We've heard wonderful comments about the band from guests who all had a great time. Hope that helps!

I looked into using Hank Lane bands, but personally didn't like that you couldn't see them in a live showcase.

I'm not sure what you budget is, but check out The Dreamteam of NYC Swing. They rocked...LOVED them. Our guests danced all night long. People still tell me how awesome the wedding band was and how much fun they had! And only 6 weeks after the wedding, two of my guests have asked for their name since they have family members getting married in 2011. I think that speaks for itself.

I am also looking into using a Hank Lane band, Rhythm Nights . Has anyone ever heard of them? It does seem weird that Hank Lane does not want you to meet or hear the band live before your actual wedding day. I wonder what the reason for that is... Well we met w/ Ian Magid and he does have a great pitch and he reccomends Rhythm Nights band to us since we want mainly top 40 / pop music

I would love some feedback or proof that this band has actually played a wedding before and Rocked it!!
