I personally really like the teacups only but I voted a mix of both because I could picture both of them at a mad hatter party!  Your wedding sounds AWESOME by the way! 🙂

I think the teacups only are cute! How big are they/how big are your tables?

I think a mixture would be fun too.

I would do a whole bunch of different settings too! Not just two. Get super creative!

I couldn’t find a picture with tea cups but if you are willing to glue them I think it would be super cute for them to be all stacked just the tea cups but not so together, like this but obviously not in flower pots.

I think they’re really cute and unique, but I’d be a nervous wreck worrying that they’re gonna fall over and get broken. No bueno.

And off topic, what is that collection in the background?

Are you having kids at your wedding?  I’d be afraid of them falling over and breaking pretty easily

I would do a mix of both. I think that once you have the cups painted,  the one with the cups and saucers will look a bit more whimsical and less rigid.

Sometimes it’s just not possible to duplicate some things we see online. The centerpiece that @chasesgirl:   posted , looks to me like it would need holes drilled for hidden support.
