I’m looking for some ideas for a day-after brunch somewhere in Charleston or Mount Pleasant. Our budget is not going to be huge by any means but was wondering if any of you could let me know what you planned/are planning and the general cost/what’s included. I haven’t given the brunch much thought yet, so ANY input would be appreciated. Our wedding is going to be about 120 guests, all will be invited but I doubt everyone will come, maybe 80-90 people? (Especially those who live in Charleston will probably be working).
Maybe renting a place out, and getting it catered, or a restaurant with decent prices?
Thanks in advance!!!

I meant to add we’re getting married on a Sunday, so the day-after brunch will be on a Monday, if that makes any sort of difference.

How much are you looking to spend max? That will help with a starting point.

I’ve been to two Charleston weddings that did this (neither were Sunday weddings though) and other weddings with large out of town guests that did this and it’s always been really nice.
If you’re getting a hotel block it may be cheaper and easier to do it there. When we stayed at Mills House they did the brunch outside and it was really nice and I think because they met a certain money amount with rooms the hotel gave them a discount.

@toothfairy910: I’m planning on doing this too, but we haven’t quite worked out all the budget specifics yet – I may try to see if we can have the same caterer do it, some offer discounts for catering multiple events. But, no caterer until at least October, so we’ll see.
There are some great brunch spots in Charleston though, if you wanted to call ahead and see if any would be willing to accomodate you. Being a Monday, they might be a little more willing.
