Thoughts on double-breasted suits?

    I think it will depend on your FI’s body type, I feel that double breasted suits tend to look better on taller, slimmer men.  I personally think you should let your FI wear whatever he wants, unless you are both picking out what you’ll be wearing together and have agreed to compromise.

    HonoraryNerd:  Maybe take him to go try some of these suits on?  It doesn’t sound like your FI has too much emotionally invested in what he wants to wear, so I’m sure as long as it’s not uncomfortable he’ll be fine.  My groom wanted to wear something ridiculous (the orange tux from dumb and dumber), but when he found out the cost he went with something more practical lol.

    I have no idea how a double breasted suit is “out there.”  You can wear it to work in the financial sector in London, or New York.  It’s entirely a matter of preference.

    HonoraryNerd:  only because that happens to be the current fashion at this exact moment. As far as classic style, they’re quite ordinary.
