Thoughts on my menu?

I like it  but I think the entree is missing something. I generally don’t eat a lot of carbs but usually for a meal like this, I would expect a small portion of starch/carbs with my meat, salad & veggies. Maybe a potato dish added to the entree?

Also, the crab cakes as an additional appetizer sounds good. Three is a good number of options IMO.

@purple_orchid:  I think you need a starch. Some sort of potato. Also, I’d see if you could get different kinds of dressings for the salad. I know a lot of people that dont like balsamic vinaigrette.

@purple_orchid:  Do you have a vegetarian option? Because a salad and a stick with a cherry tomato, bit of cheese and basil is not much of an offering.

Otherwise it sounds fine though a lot of people dislike mushrooms.

@purple_orchid:  Crab cakes, a starch with the entree and maybe a selection of breads/rolls?

I would have more appetizers. I hate tomatoes and mushroom and sausage so I wouldn’t eat the two you offer. I know a good amount of people that don’t like mushrooms. I think at least one more appetizer would be good- you mentioned crab cakes as an entree- what about miniature crab cake appetizers? Or at least crackers and cheese or veggie/fruit trays

I know many people who won’t touch mushrooms.

I would add a couple more crowd pleasing type apps, they really don’t have to be fancy!

I don’t think the mushrooms sound good, and I love mushrooms. I’d switch that for something else, add another appetizer, and also add the crab cakes.

Can you do the meats without sauces? Or a fish option? The options sound heavy.

I think it sounds good! Maybe I would add one more app and one more side, but that’s just because I don’t like crabcakes — but lots of people do. Do they offer another kind of substantial app — like a spring roll or a mini-tart/phyllo shell kind of app?  If you were to add another main, I might do a pasta (if your caterer can do that well in bulk).

Add in one more appetizer and you should be great. I think the entrees are fine! Is it dual plated or a choice?
