So…what’s the invite? Mailing them the book? Or just a password to Instagram? This is confusing.

If you do the books, they will be pretty expensive to mail as opposed to regular invites. Not sure it would really save you money.

Our invites were from zazzle.com, standard 4×6 cards. Standard postage. We also included RSVP cards. I think in total we paid about $250-$300 for everything.Invitations are a pretty easy place to save money. The books are super cute but not sure they will actually be a savings to you!

@sillygoat:  I would think the little books would be far more expensive to ship/print.  Plus, being so small, if you invite older relatives, it may be difficult for them to read.  Or maybe I’m not fully understanding your post?

They are cute, but I think they would work better for favors to give at the wedding, or something to read while waiting for the ceremony to start.

They may confuse people as invitations.

@sillygoat:  Even without the shipping charges, that’s over $3 per invite just for the little books.  By the time you add packaging, you’ll be over $5 per invite which is pretty pricey IMO.  I was able to do pocketfolds with inserts, inner and outer envelopes for $2.89 each including the $0.65 postage.  If you’re looking for a less expensive alternative, I don’t think this is it; however, if you just like the little books and it’s in your budget, go for it.

It will definitely be pricey, but if you can afford it, I think it would be cute. I agree that you’ll have to be careful to keep the print large enough to be legible for all your guests. And I’d avoid confetti as it can be a bitch to clean up. But if I recieved one I would probably think it was cute.

@sillygoat:  I think its a cute idea, as long as you have something written in it so people realize that its an invitation 🙂

@sillygoat:  They are really cute but I don’t think they’d really be much good for putting maps in and such because they are so teeny tiny. I have good vision and all but there’s no way I’d be able to get much sense out of a map that little, lol. Is there an option to get them in a slighly larger size?

I think its cute and different. I think it might be confusing to some guests, like if I had sent that to my grandmother and great aunt they would have no idea what was going on LOL.

My question is, the book would be the actual invitation?? Or just a cute little thing to go with the invite? How will the guests RSVP? Will you include some other little form in there for the prospective guests to return?
