I don’t really dislike it, but if you want a better chance at proper pronunciation, I’d probably spell it Kalina. I’d probably assume that spelling was KA-lin-a.
I don’t care for it.
Not a fan. It doesn’t sound like it’s spelled (She will constantly be correcting people) and I think that most “special snowflake” names lose their novelty rather quickly.
Yeah, the spelling isn’t correct for the pronunciation you want. Kalyna would be kah-LIN-uh or kah-LIE-nuh. I’m still kind of meh on the name, but if you love it, consider Kalina or Kaleena for spelling.
I’m not a huge fan but maybe it just takes some getting used to.
I agree with PPs that it would be pronounced Ka-lie-nuh if you spelled it like that. If you like modern spellings what about Kahlena?
Thanks bees! I am just asking because my niece was born today and that’s the name they gave her. I am not sure how I feel about it so I wanted to ask you guys just out of curisoty.
Don’t mind the name, but I have a problem with the spelling. It will get mispronounced all the time.
Its not as bad as my neices name. Heaven Leigh. Seriously.
It’s ok but I think it would grow on me!
My sons friends name is Kahlia which I love (kar-lee-a)
Heaven Leigh. Seriously.
Not a fan. I like the Rose part though!
I fear that in the UK it would be viewed as somewhat chav. But Rose is nice!
PMSL at Heaven Leigh though!
