I bought my wedding dress yesterday so I’ve started my bolero search. I’m planning on getting a lace one custom made to match my dress but I’m absolutely in love with this one…
I would order it in burnt orange to match my girls dresses. Do you think this would compliment my wedding dress?

I will be totally honest and i say i don’t like it. I think the dress is so beautiful and an orange bolero will just ruin that. I think a lace one thats white or ivory (i can’t tell the color of your dress) will look fabulous.

I think it is fun and very cute! I think it would look great. (I do love the look of a lace bolero, but not everyone likes those.)

I actually really like it! I think it would be really cute looking. I think lace would look even better but this orange one would be really cute for some pics with your bridesmaids. I also saw this flower on etsy that would look amazing with it in your hair or just wearing it alone if you didn’t wear the bolero.

How were you thinking of having your hair? I can imagine it with hair up to really show it off, especially if you have dark hair it could look really dramatic!

@mlharrison23: I love it. I’ve actually been looking for a hair flower. Which Etsy shop?
@snowybride: I’ve been leaning towards something like this. My hair is a similiar shade as well…

The cool thing is you get 2 of them and they are only $18.00 so even if you didn’t want to wear them then I bet your bridesmaids would look good in them with their dresses and depending on how many girls you needed you wouldn’t even need to order many since there is 2 in each order.

@UpstateCait: I think it looks great and goes with an October wedding nicely!

@UpstateCait:I’m on the bolero search as well. How much fabric did you need to buy to get a bolero made? Have you gotten a quote on how much it will cost?

I like the bolero very much, but I don’t like it with your dress. I think the ruffles on the bolero will compete with the pleats/folds details in the bust of your dress (that is if the 2nd dress is your dress).

I think it works with the first dress because other than the lace, there’s not a lot of detail on the top. Your dress has gorgeous detailing, so I’d find a more toned down bolero. I do LOVE that one though. Buy it and wear it to your rehearsal dinner, or just wear it in real life (as opposed to wedding life haha)!

I love the bolero! I agree though that I am not sure how it would look with all the ruffles and details since your dress has some detail to it as well. It could work, but if it doesn’t you would be stuck with it since I don’t think etsy takes returns. But, if you think you could wear it again or at the rehearsal dinner then go for it!
I am having a very simple, stand collar, 3/4 length sleeve bolero made by my seamstress because my dress too has details on top and I tought the plain went better. I ordered 1 yard of material from my dress maker.

@UpstateCait:OMG where did you find that!?!?!?

I think that bolero would look really nice with your dress. I’m a big fan of bringing in pops of color wherever possible. That said, I think a lace bolero would be lovely as well.

I think it is adorable! Go for it!
