I am personaly not a fan. Don't know why. I guess maybe it just seems... gross. But a friend of mine LOVES it and plan on doing the same thing when they are pregnant.

So, I just wanted to hear other peoples oppinions.

@Ms Hedgehog:  this is just plain weird. I feel like it's something out of comedy sketch, not something someone would actually do. I hope your friend changes her mind.

I saw this on pintrest, and while I think it is funny, you would have to be a certain type of couple to pull it off I think. I can think of some of our friends who if they were pregnant would totally pull this off, but some others I would be really confused because it doesn't fit their personality. Personally there are a lot more ideas I think are a lot cuter.

I think it's funny. But it's not for every couple. It would take a certain couple. Probably jokesters or something. I wouldn't choose it for myself, but I know of people that could totally pull it off.

    Gross. I would never.

And I'd be a bit like, "Uh, awkward?" if I got one in the mail. Then again, I've never gotten a pregnancy announcement, just birth announcements.

I think its hilarious! But then again me and my friends have crude senses of humor. As with anything, humor depends on your audience :)

I think it's funny. I could most certainly see some of our friends sending one of these out. I will say though that I'm untraditional and I think 99% of baby announcements are ugly and boring.

Not really a fan.  And I hate the phrase "WE'RE pregnant"... no, "WE'RE" having a baby, but only ONE of is pregnant, there's no we in the pregnancy.

Gosh, I don't even let DH watch me puke.  I don't think I'd want to show it to the world, even if it's fake.

I get how it could be funny for some people -- I also have friends that could pull this off! But I'm thinking about what I'd do if I got it in the mail and I'm pretty sure I don't want to put a toilet on my fridge.

Uhm...  I actually laughed. I think it's pretty darned funny.

I think it's appropriate if you're that kind of humour-loving couple (my family and espescially FIL's would love it).

Ummmm... not my thing. I have a pretty raunchy sense of humor, but my face in a toilet is not for other people to see!

i think it's funny seeing it on pinterest... and having them being strangers.

but i would NEVER do it and i would feel weird if someone sent this to me.

also... are printed pregnancy announcements a "thing" now?? so confused. it seems a little weird to me... is a birth announcement not enough?

That is just really weird, for a number of reasons.  The head in the toilet thing being one of them.  I just don't think this a tasteful, family pregnancy announcement.  The puking (albeit fake) and the kid standing outside the bathroom door just rub me the wrong way, I don't know why.  I'm not offended or anything.  I think it's a funny concept.  But, I would not send this out to my family.  It sort of makes the husband seem jerky, too.  He's outside the bathroom with a major grin while mommy is "throwing up".

I think it's funny. =)  Depends on your audience, really.  If your friends/family are easy-going people, this will be funny to them~

While funny, if I got this in the mail from a friend or family member I would think "really?? that's how they wanted to announce it?!"

I like the ones with the family's shoes with an extra pair of baby shoes saying "our family is expanding by two feet"... Those are adorable!

Also on the never heard of pregnancy announcements bandwagon.  Personally I think they seem like a bad idea in the event something goes wrong and a tragedy is very public and even harder on a couple.

The design is kind of on the crass side imho.

Would much rather a birth announcement with pics of the baby. Never seen and, no offense, don't understand the point of a pregnancy announcement. As to the style itself, to each her own.

As a former bulimic, this while funny in its pregnancy context,  would probably scare my family.

I'm all for humor though ! For the right couple it would be fabulous ;)

I don't like it. It looks like the dad and the little girl are really happy about the mom throwing up. I'm sure the intent is that they're happy about the pregnancy, but the image makes it look like, "Yay, mommy's vomiting again, hooray!"

    Gross.

Ugh, another thought - who wants other people to have an actual image of them vomiting (real or staged)? GROSS! It's bad enough when people get a mental image of that.

my reaction is a quick inside laugh with a confused face followed by showing everyone else and saying WTF. Then i'd toss it. But I don't keep anything like save the dates, announcements, so a pregnancy announcement, IMO is a waste of money.
