Thoughts on tiaras paired with veils?

I wore one. I loved it with my simple drop veil. I also had pretty hat pins in the back that held my veil on. I loved the lady I bought mine from, she was one of my favorite vendors I worked with. I’ll find a link to her website. She has about every kind imaginable, decent prices and great quality.

Sorry, this is the best pic I have on my tablet:

I definitely don’t think they’re snobby or anything of the sort. I’ll be wearing one (also with a veil) and I don’t see how it’s that much different than any other headpiece a bride would wear. I still haven’t figured out how it’s all going to be styled, but I’ve never dreamed of wearing anything else on my wedding day. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to feel like a princess on your special day, and ignore anyone who tells you otherwise. You’re allowed to feel beautiful any way you want.

prinprin:  that’s gorgeous and very dainty. What does your dress and veil look like, just out of curiosity?

prinprin:  I like your dress so very much!! Actually, it sort of reminds me of my own! I had a ballgown with a very similar belt as yours. 🙂

I like the tiara you picked out.  I think it’s very tasteful! Definitely not too much bling along with your belt.  I wore a very sparkly side headband and sparkly earrings with mine. It balanced really well.

Also, here are some inspiration pictures of Kate Middleton with a tiara and veil since you hair is so similar to hers.

I don’t think you need a tiara. Veil sounds beautiful but I think tiaras are silly looking and kinda dated. Your dress doesn’t need that with the belt. I would skip and just do earrings.

God I hate tiaras….. I swear every middle eastern woman from my FI’s community competes to see who wears the most extravagant tiara. My FMIL got mad at me when I told her I rather chew sand than wear one.

Now, if you are really set on wearing a tiara with your dress (I am SO glad you went with the belt vs the ribbon btw…. ;)) you should do a very small tiara. Actually very much like what tksjewelry is wearing. I think that would look really pretty. Go on http://www.tiarasnow.com 🙂

Nay1976:  Beautiful! This is a tiara done right! 🙂 I LOVE tiaras, even bought 2 for my big day but ended up not wearing them because paired with diamond earrings I looked like I had just stepped out of the limo at prom. I ended up switching to pearls to age myself a few years. Looking younger than I am will be great in a few years but is tough right now lol. 🙂
