I am the MOH in my best friend’s wedding..
We have our dresses: http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Browse/WomenBrowse/Women_Shop_By_Category/dresses/weddingsparties/PRDOVR~98979/99101641906/98979.jsp’ defer=’defer
in "tropical aqua"
Now here is the problem, I am very tall (5’11”) one of the other bridesmaids might be 5′ and the other is 5’6”—
The bride doesn’t mind if we all wear different shoes as long as they are similar in look (like all wearing peep toe in a certain color). The other thing to take into account is the wedding is going to be on a lawn…so unless we want to sink in the whole time pointy heels are not going to cut it.
I was thinking silver or gold shoes would work well…but does anyone have any suggestions for three different heel heights (to even us all out so the pictures don’t look funny), ones that don’t sink into the ground (like flats or wedge heels) and ones that all have a similar look?? Any thoughts would be welcomed!!

Oh i wish I could help. I’m worried about this too. I’m 5’11" and need 2" heels for the dress i’m in. The bride is 5’4", and her other two bridesmaids are only about 5’2" and they’re wearing flats. I want to blend in, but I can’t =(
What about nude colored shoes, even if they’re in different styles? Nude always blends with everything

my bridesmaids are in the same predicament and I’m just not worrying about it. no shoe is going to make up the difference so I told them all to do what makes them happiest.
I have not personally tried them, but have heard good things about Solemates (thesolemates.com) to keep heels from sinking in grass. maybe that way the shorter girls could still wear high heels!

I feel ya. I am also 5’11 and will be in a wedding next weekend. We are all wearing the same shoes with a 3.5 inch heel making me over 6’2! The bride is only about 5’2 but I am not sure about the other girls. I would have loved to pick our own shoes so that I could find something flat or with a smaller heel. Not to mention I recently had bunion surgery so standing in heels for a long time is not super comfortable. I have gotten rather good at crouching to blend in though!

related question about this, i am going to start a new post – if you have major height diffs like that, how do you decide who stands where?

well – wedges and flats won’t sink in the grass.. all 3 of my choices are silver, open toed, strappy, and have circular ‘bling’.. hopefully that is similar enough for the bride.
here are my suggestions:
how about you wear a flat sandel like this:
the 5 ft tall girl can wear these:
and the 5’6 girl can wear these:
