So now we get to drive out to the venue at 10:00 a.m. the Sunday after Thanksgiving (a week before our wedding) to meet with the new coordinator. I'm just thrilled to be driving 3 hours the Sunday after Thanksgiving! Hopefully it won't turn into 5 or 6 hours. Ergh.
:-( I'm so sorry! That's a stressful situation. Hopefully you'll really like the new coordinator!
Oh, that's really tough! And completely thoughtless of them not to give you more notice.

Hi, bees! Just a venting post. I got an email from my venue's coordinator this afternoon saying that today would be her last day, and leaving me contact information for another person at the venue. I immediately emailed that person to find out if the coordinator had given her our information - because we're having both our ceremony and the reception there! What peeved me the most was that we were out in the same town as our venue today for my hair trial and meeting with the florist, and if we had even a days' notice, we would have made time to meet this other person and make sure the transition went well. But now we have to drag our butts out there again - the Sunday after Thanksgiving, which is a week before the wedding - to meet with this new person (who emailed us back tonight). It's a three hour round trip for us, and I can only imagine what the traffic will be like the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Ergh. So inconsiderate.
Tried on my dress this morning (second fitting) - it went well, but she's got to take more off the hem, which will require a third fitting (next Saturday). Alteration cost thus far - $315.
And tomorrow is our RSVP deadline - and we still haven't heard from 12 people. When your wedding is less than 50, 12 people makes a huge difference! :-)
OK, vent over. It just feels like so much needs to get done in the next three weeks!!
