I don't have a picture, but all of our bookshelves and cabinets are from thrift stores. We got great deals on them, and they are completely wood. I love thrift store deals!!
@abbyful: I love that! What a great way to make an outdated piece modern. Do you read Mr. Goodwill Hunting? He is the thrift store king. I just got a great tutoral from his blog on how to paint fabric furniture. He amazes me with what he comes up with.

I love thrift stores and CL, DH says I am going to end up completly redoing our house $50 at a time.
I get some great clothing at thrift stores. If you wash it with regular detergent and add white vinegar that will remove any wierd smells from it.
Isn't he awesome!
@ccranetobe: Perfect timing, you have a whole house to fill ;)
Oh my gosh i have so many!! I'm gonna have to take pics when I get home :) Although one that I can mention that is pretty dang cool is this victrola jewelry/music box that plays the most beautiful song when you open it! LOVE it!
@abbyful: What a great redo! I would not have thought of that.
My thrift store finds have all been clothes, but now that we have our own apartment, I expect that to change. But my best find ever was a vintage Christian Dior boyfriend blazer in camel wool, which was perfectly on trend a mere 3 months after I bought it for $3!!!
@tksjewelry: It was fantastic. I got it at Housing Works Thirft Shop, which has an amazing selection, on a day where there were having an all clothes for $3 blowout to make way for their big semi-annual auction the next day. I went in 15 minutes before the store closed, saw the sign for the sale, and figured that since the fitting rooms were already closed, the only thing I could try on were jackets. I found the blazer, it fit perfectly, and I rushed to the giant line absolutely giddy. You should have seen the cashier's face when she checked me out!
i thrift all the time! Recently I found a vintage tupperware meat marinader for $2...my mom has one and i wanted one soo bad!
I thrift often to re-sell on ebay. My best find so far was a pair of authentic Burberry pants for $5. I sold them 3 days later for $55! I work for a children's resale shop that has taught me lots of stuff on ebay/reselling/authenticating items, i'm hooked!
@sarahbabs: OMG I LOVE HOUSING WORKS!!! I went there with my ex when we visited his mom in NYC..he was looking for vintage North Face jackets (I guess you can buy them ripped/torn and send them to the factory and they will repair them for free..and he would resell them on ebay..anyway) and I was looking for knick knacks. Well I found a regular china plate that I thought was really pretty so I bought it for $1 and a wooden cigar box for $0.50. The plate ended up being worth $30 online and the cigar box is adorable. I still browse their online store.
I just found a Cathrineholme fondue pot at a goodwill for 6 bucks!!

@ElwoodBlues: oh cute as!
@tksjewelry: oh that I do... a whole house... a whole house!! sooo excited. I love all things thrift or on sale. Why pay full price?! :)
I don't have a picture of it, but my mum found me a la cruset casserole dish with a lid at the op shop for $7! still works a treat
i don't have a pic, but my favorite find is a 1920's antique recliner that i got fro $10 at a thrift store. it's in great condition and we are currently using it in our living room. I LOVE IT!
I don't have any pics of them, but my Mom and I have been checking thrift stores for old frames. I am going to use the spray can chalk to make chalk board signs for the wedding.
I've gotten lots of stuff, both for the wedding and for me: clothes, kitchen stuff, books, picture frames, pins/brooches, purses, and fur/faux fur coats for my wedding.

I just found these great Franco Sarto boots that cost $90 for $6!!!
I'm obsessed with thrifting.
Most recently, I found BRAND NEW, never worn before still in the box $125 Hunter rainboots in my size for... wait for it.... $35. I've been wanting these boots for about a year but never pulled the trigger because how often does one wear rain boots and they were pricey.
I also found a in-season bridal gown for $25.
I heart Goodwill so hard!
One of my favorite sites is www.centsationalgirl.com- she does amazing stuff with thrifted furniture.

I found this unaltered Sottero and Midgeley wedding gown at a Salvation Army store, in my size. I will be wearing it for my May wedding!
It retailed for around $1700. I paid...$40.
My husband & I go to a local thrift store & we have found some great stuff! The best we have found was my husband's jacket vest botton up shirt & tie for our wedding!
My husband has found some nice golf shirts also which usually run in the 70-100 dollar range for 1-2 bucks!
I myself have bought shirts, sweaters, jackets, plates & bowls & cute lil what knots!
The jacket, vest, shirt & tie:

Oh & I also found my maid of honors dress for 10 bucks in that same thirft store!
Wow!! That's some NICE stuff!
The only thing/s I have bought at thrift stores are books. I find that a lot of the stuff there is actually overpriced for the condition it is in. That is at least the case here in the area where I live. I've visted 4-5 stores in this area and they are all the same. I.e. over priced.
For example, a BRAND NEW basket is at the dollar store for a $1. (This dollar store is in fact right next to this thrift store!) And this same basket that someone gave to the thrift store is also a $1. Wtf!? it's already been 'used' and it is not in a 'new' condition either.
When I was in the States, I did find value in items from the thrift stores. Not in Canada, I don't.
@MissTaken: OMG, I clicked on the link to the Centsational Girl blog, and I'm in love. I want to be her...

I found this deer at the thrift store and repainted it, much improved!
I have some more stuff that's currently waiting to be painted too. Like some bronze candle sconces I got for $1 that I'm repainting glossy black.
